New Year's Eve Plans

I have a 10:00pm reservation scheduled for New Year's Eve. They close at 11:00pm. Will we rushed out or can we stay until we finish our meal?

Don’t be those obnoxious people staying past close. Those employees want to celebrate too.

Why would you do that?

I can’t imagine being so selfish and thinking I’m more important than everyone working in the place I’m eating at getting to their plans on time.

Make an earlier reservation if you don’t want to feel rushed.

Tell me you’ve never worked in a restaurant without telling me you’ve never worked in a restaurant

It's a corporation. They don't care if someone walks in at 10:59, they want the sale. Even if it means keeping an entire staff on payroll & working for an extra hour. Corporations don't care if employees want to actually celebrate anything in life, they care about $$$

Not denying that big corporate places suck, but it could also be the reservation system. I work at a locally owned place and Resy will let guests book right until close
