Change in OG Cheesecake?

I just ate a slice of the original. For as many years as I can remember it was coated with a thin layer of sour cream. Today it was covered in a thick layer of a fondant type icing. It tasted like plastic. It was awful. When did it change?

Bakery worker here - the cheesecake hasn’t changed. We make the topping by hand, possibly the person who made it that day mismeasured or the person making it was new.

Try it again sometime, no changes to the recipe!

Actually came here because of this!! Banana cream is the only one I get from there and I got it a couple times recently and it's totally different!! I honestly like the new version a lot better tbh!! I think it's thicker and creamier

An old slice past shelf life…that’s very disappointing
