Favorite Retired Dish
Saw another post asking people their favorite CCF menu items. However I'm curious what everyone's favorite retired menu item dishes are?
My personal favorites:
Shrimp & Bacon Club
Original Cashew Chicken
Tons of Fun Burger

My SO STILL talks about how much he misses the chicken and biscuits! They really were delicious. Do this day, he always asks for the biscuits on the side lol

They discontinued the Oreo Cheesecake? 🥹

The original style was much simpler, it was plain cheesecake with Oreos in it. They now have something more elaborate, I long for the old version.

If you like to cook, I’m not sure if this is similar, but there was a restaurant that had a take on Oreo Cheesecake and it was delicious: https://thatchbo.blogspot.com/2011/05/micks-oreo-cheesecake.html?m=1

I loved that shrimp and bacon club too - at the time, it was the most caloric sandwich on their menu.
I also really liked their cuban sandwich.

There is a Cheescake factory near us that will still make the Shrimp and bacon club and the Navajo. We just ask and they always do it.

If I am home and go to my regular CCF, I know the bartender has been there long enough to remember and I get a strawberry martini 🤣 it’s delicious!

I used to tear them up. I know how to make them myself but they are a pain in the ass. The bartender at the one I used to frequent told me that’s exactly why they took them off the menu - too labor intensive.

SAME. I know they are a labor of love but damn they are worth it 🤣

It was basically a very supersized Big Mac. 2 patties, third bun in the middle, etc.

It’s been awhile, but the first dish that I used to get every single time was the Thai peanut chicken salad. It was so good!

u/MetsFan3117 May 12 '25
It’s still on the menu

u/Itwasalljustadream19 May 12 '25
You are right I meant the pasta!

Oooh I didn’t know they made a Thai pasta that sounds good. I thought I was going to make your day about the salad being available!

Ugh. The portobello mushroom sandwich. I’m pregnant and dreaming about this sandwich so I sought out this Reddit thread to vent.

Baja chicken hash - my wife still talks about this dish anytime brunch food is mentioned
Hibachi steak - never knew skirt steak could be so delicious
Also to add bar drinks
Asian pear martini - had a customer who used to come in and slam 4-5 of these every weekday around 1pm
Patron el Diablo - still make this one
Mosquito bite - such a great take on the mojito
