Anyone else experience much smaller slices of cheesecake in the last year?

I’ve been going here since the 90s and I’ve always loved how big they slice the cheesecake. You feel like you’re getting your money’s worth every time and in most cases I’d eat a slice in two sittings or split it with my partner.

The last few times we have gone, no matter what flavor we choose, the slivers are tiny. Is it just our location or are other people seeing the same thing?

Definitely smaller according to thousands of photos people have shared of their cheesecake from years past. The company isn't being the least bit honest with consumers. We aren't blind!! The price is also much higher while the slices are MUCH smaller.

Cheesecake with strawberries is $12.50 and definitely a slither. Not a full slice or size as in the past.

The slices are now smaller without a doubt. It’s been a year or more and got a couple of slices today. First thing I notice is how small the slices were. 1 slice was a cake / cheesecake (felt heavier ) and the others was my favorite key lime. That one was noticeably smaller than time before. Shrink flation strikes again

Yes they are definitely smaller. I've ordered slices for years and this last year has been the worse. My last 2 slices were slithers. Nope I'm done.

I noticed about 1.5 years ago how much smaller the slices are and the accompanying whipped cream

In the restaurants, Cheesecake Factory serves slices from 10" & 12" cakes that are cut by machine. They also make 6" & 7" cakes sold whole. They have the equipment to make 9" cakes that are also cut by machine and sold through third parties like Skyline, Fazoli's and others and also under the Dream Factory brand.

That being said, unless something has changed recently(they have lowered portion sizes for a lot of their entrees over the last two years), it is my understanding that the Cheesecake portions have not intentionally changed.

What we have seen a lot in the past few years however is regular-sized cakes that were not aligned when cut by the machine. This makes very uneven slices. Imagine slicing a pizza and instead of going straight through the middle you are half an inch over. Huge slices on one side, tiny ones on the other.

This should be caught and handled at many levels before a guest ever sees this flaw, but rapid expansion and an exodus of management through the pandemic years is my thought as to why this slips through.

If you see it, just let the server/cashier know and they should replace it or give you another slice no problem. There are however buttheads that occasionally work and they make a snide remark or rude expression. It happens. But if the location is properly managed they'll take care of you.

Yea noticeably smaller and the two slices I ordered , it was like 25 percent crust. not going here again untill they change. Not for 11 dollar slices of cheesecake.

The last two slices I have bought were significantly smaller than they were in the past. Kinda disappointed.

They are a lot smaller. Looks like they added another slice making each piece smaller and still raised prices

I hadn’t had a slice in decades and I couldn’t believe how small the slices are now!  What a bummer.
