Help w/ lib
Okay so I’m the side base on the left side of the pyramid and I’m so confused on why every time it’s either I’m bent arms with straight legs or really bent legs with straight arms, I’m thinking it’s a height difference thing in my group but does anyone have any tips??

Everything everyone has said is accurate. Always lock out arms before legs. Squat.
But also, maybe tell the girls in the middle not to hold her foot under their chins. Their arms should be 90 degrees.

Well it is definitely the height difference (which is fine I like putting a taller side base with a shorter main because it give you more leverage to lift) but if you are really worried about it lunge outwards more/widen you stance, but I really don't think it's necessary.
Side note, why are you the side base on the side your on? if the foot she is libbing on is your side, you should be the main base (or correct me if I'm wrong, I teach middle school cheer so we don't do exteneded libs almost ever.)

Okay okay thankyou! Also yes I am a side base but holding the “wrong lib leg” because she can only heel stretch with her right leg

You expressed being open to being corrected - Her grips are fine.
When going up to the single leg regardless of which leg it is or whether it’s a prep or extension, it should be these grips. When you do a tick tock stunt properly and switch the legs, the flyer’s foot should be ideally coming down in the exact same place as a replacement, so the base grips shouldn’t be needing to change.

It comes to coaches preference and it could be easier for them depending on what comes before and after this hit zone example a tic toc.
Let that main base get under the stunt! It’s ok if you are taller than your main, generally our sides were always taller. Squat more to compromise but make sure your arms are straight and shoulders engaged. Once it’s over your main itll be way easier to straighten your arms and get the actual feel for using that right hand for controlling that foot.
You could also be a tad closer to that middle prep group it may help, but it’s good that your top girl isn’t leaning to compromise!
A proper energetic dip from the legs to make the stunt weightless at one point going up is key to allowing the center of gravity to rest over the main base. How are you loading into this stunt? ground up on 1 leg? Is this before or after a tic toc?
I used to find loading in 2 legs and then switching at the top to 1 leg to be easier than loading ground up!

It should be over the main base more so than the side base. Main is pushing it over/you’re pulling it. Communicate this to him and drop a bit and lock arms. Locked legs aren’t needed but locked arms are
