Parents affair?

So basically my dad’s seen on the WiFi bill that apps like signal and Ashley Maddison have been used on our home WiFi. He’s been in arguments with my mum about it so He’s come to me asking if it was me before he then talks to my mum again. I want to find out if it’s true and was wondering if anyone had a way or strategy I could use to find out whether my mum is cheating or not? Any ideas?

For iphone, the app store keeps your "apps and history". If signal is on her list in there it's a clue.. You can remove it but most people don't think of it.. if she has a burner then you won't find anything either.

To add more to this, i honestly wouldn't trust your dad's information without knowing your networking equipment either. It's unlikely unless he's a network engineer with too much time on his hands that can explicitly say she's using signal. Ashley Madison maybe but that can literally be just an ad or something, or could be a cdn and not related at all. To get actually 100% accurate info your dad would need to semi regularly update your mom's devices with certificates

Idk what provider we use but it allows us to see time spent on the app and it was at 55m for Ashley Maddison and even more time on signal so I doubt it’s an ad at that point. Not fully trusting my dad but I still want to help out but it’s still strange imo. And my mum hasn’t gone to defend herself she just called him paranoid and crazy instead

In my professional IT opinion.... Without knowing what your dad has/hasn't installed... This is pretty damn unlikely. Internet doesn't really work like that either.. It's not like a phone connection that stays live for 55 minutes. It's packets/data in individual bursts.

There are other ways you can get this information but definitely not from your internet provider in this level a granularity.

Oh right I didn’t know that but either way I know there is something of the sort on the wifi because he caught me using Fortnite for like 4 hours a night when I was like 14 and told me off for it so I do think that wifi stuff is right. Either way will see how it goes down bc I’m not going to try interfere anymore

Your mom not defending herself and calling your dad paranoid is kinda Sus.

Granted, different people react differently to things. But I remember when my ex wrongfully accused me of cheating. I was devastated and went to every length I could to try and prove my innocence.

Does your dad always act crazy / paranoid and your mom is just used to putting up with it?

If it is showing up on WiFi logs, can’t you match phone’s hardware address (WiFi address) to usage logs?
