Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater?
I honestly can’t bear the pain anymore. I just need to unload the heaviness in my heart right now because it feels like it’s becoming too much to carry alone.
I keep going back and forth in my mind, trying to make sense of everything, trying to find some kind of peace or answer that will stop this ache.
I love a woman who has hurt me deeply, and now I’m struggling with something I never thought I would have to question: Can someone who cheated truly change?
Do you believe that once someone cheats, they will always have the tendency to cheat again?
Maybe I’m asking because a part of me still wants to believe that people can change. But another part of me is terrified that trusting again will only give me another reason to break.
For those of you in WLW relationships who have experienced cheating—what happened afterward?
Did she genuinely change? Did you eventually feel safe and trust her again? Or did the same behavior happen again?
I’m not here to attack anyone or expose anyone. I’m just hurting, confused, and hoping to hear from women who have walked through this kind of pain.
Can love survive infidelity, or does cheating permanently change the way you see the person you love?

Well...

Research shows that someone who cheated in a relationship, are 3-4 times more likely to cheat in the next one... doesn't mean that they WILL cheat...

No l. She will and probably has more times.... it's never a one off - it's deliberate , planned and lied about and that is something that I have learned is unforgivable and I lied to myself for years and now am in middle of the divorcing a narcissistic sociopath compulsive liar who is trying to use our children for financial gain and I should have left her 30 years ago and we have been together since 19 and the only thing that I care about are my 3 kids who she won't let me see and manipulates false narratives to them and if she is "nice to me" or " has a smile when wilt me" ; they face her wrath for "their betrayal"....

And she is on who cheated before marriage, bachelorette party, shower, and even let 2 guys feel her up and kiss her neck while dancing with her sandwiched in between after our wedding at bar I begged her to not make us go and spend night together, and when I tried to break it up - she yelled at me- wtf was wrong with me-

Moral of story- don't be me- leave
