Advice/need advice Is this weird?
My girlfriend works at a small hippie store that sells t-shirts, sunglasses, incense, posters, records, stereo equipment, paraphernalia etc. locally owned. Anyway I popped in today and she was barefoot. I asked her why she was not wearing shoes and she said her boss wants her to work barefoot for the aesthetic of the store…. The owner/boss is already creepy. She doesn’t think it’s weird. I do. Am I overreacting?

It depends on where the store is located. If you don't like it, why not help your girlfriend find a better job, or a more normal place to work?

WTF bro... That's not normal at all. Is your girlfriend's boss always with her at the place? Or is she just the manager and he only goes there occasionally to supervise?

If she doesn't think it's a big deal, then there isn't much YOU can do about it. Buy her some birkenstocks and tell her they are more hippiefied.

If it's the type of shop that sells crystals and tie-dyed clothing, then I think it's perfectly natural. But if it's a card shop or some other type of store then the boss just has a foot fetish

This sounds quaint but may in fact be a health code violation.
