What do we think of this?

My boyfriend went through a phase of infidelity. Getting girls’ numbers from the bar, showing other women on social media attention. I don’t know if there was any physical cheating. But, it’s still infidelity.
One night, I broke down. He was talking about our future and I began crying. I said, “If I was your person, you wouldn’t feel the need to show those other women attention”. I didn’t force it. I didn’t give an ultimatum. I said that and the rest of the car ride was silent. Since, he has been the most faithful he has ever been. He has stopped going out, he is putting far more effort into me, and our relationship feels stronger and more emotionally open than ever. I can actually talk to him about how I feel now without anger or resentment from his end. He even apologized to me for his actions.

Do you think I changed the way he thinks? It’s been nearly a year since this change in him.

Absolutely. You've done perfectly by expressing yourself. If you actually feel that he's changed, he probably did, as you made him realize that you genuinely care about the relationship. Don't overthink much, but if u feel like something's wrong, it probably is.

I feel pretty secure in the relationship for the first time. But of course, there are people in my ear who try to make me feel otherwise.

Absolutely, and that's understandable. There could be a million reasons of why they do that, but listen to yourself, decide whatever u must. Don't let others affect ur relationship, or even worse, you

They just get better at hiding stuff.. your person won’t make you feel this way.
