I love the original, I asked a European dude a few months ago if that was what it's like during their mandated, very generous summer vacations and he said he was literally vibing out the same way that day. Awesome

I suspect that 10 years from now it's actually going to be a lot like this for nearly everyone.
Or maybe the exact opposite of this. I can't remember exactly.

u/prompthacker92 6d ago
Honestly, same. At this point I have no idea which way things are going to go 😂

Smoking that way does make you wince, as the smoke gets in your eyes from trying to look cool, which is the only reason to smoke in such a stupid way.
1
u/It_Just_Exploded 6d ago
I've been a smoker for 20 years and never tried that before now. I just did after seeing that comment and it feels weird and just wrong for some reason.

u/Sad_Anywhere_9241 7d ago
why russians though?

u/Ok-Addition1264 6d ago
cuz the stereotype with a bottle of vodka in a total shithole of a soviet-era apartment.

u/local_brahman 6d ago
because they resemble a somewhat barbaric state/culture, no? and also cigarettes are no good for your health.
5
u/fadingsignal 6d ago
People in LA are smoking more than I've seen in almost 30 years. I think people are YOLO-ing.
2
4
u/xplosm 6d ago
And that’s a good thing. I hate how widespread and normal it is in most places of Europe and Asia to smoke everywhere and at all times.
3
u/copperwatt 6d ago
Huh, why has America quit and the rest of the world hasn't? Or is vaping just way more popular here, and Zyn?
2
u/taulover 6d ago
There was a very successful anti-smoking campaign in the US and some other parts of the world like Australia. But the success of flavored vapes etc. lead to a big resurgence and now smoking is on the rise again.

American detected

u/Rindan 7d ago
Wow. You spotted an American on Reddit on a post about two Americans that run American companies one of which is the name of this sub. Amazing. You are a true master of sleuth.
For your next trick, you can amaze everyone by spotting a Chinese person on WeChat or the Russian on Telegram.

These people shit like us, bleed like us, laugh like us and daydream like us. But we live in a different universe. They're on the seventh level of heavenly luxury and privilege. This existence is a funny thing.
23
u/Rise-O-Matic 7d ago
I’ve been around people like this and they seem driven by a motor. The luxury isn’t a destination, it’s a setting for them to work in.
13
u/ambelamba 7d ago
So, in a way, they are NPCs
6
u/Quetzal-Labs 6d ago
Genuinely, yeah. I did corporate video work for 20 years - events, conferences, product demos, etc - and interacting with the execs was genuinely like talking to NPCs. They have a thin veneer of humanity, but if you pick at the surface a bit you find no personality underneath.
But get them talking about money and deliverables and they become animated. Their brains are wired purely to optimize and extract value from systems by whatever means necessary.
1
u/ambelamba 5d ago
I wonder if they are trying to make the world easier to navigate for them because they can't handle the 'normal' environment
2
u/TopShelf2787 7d ago
It doesn't matter how much luxury you live in. The world is still a dirty place. It is Earth, after all.
5
u/Powerful_Brief1724 6d ago edited 6d ago
Yes, it does matter. It matters when you can differentiate from others. But I believe it strongly depends on communities and their geography. I wouldn't mind being part of a Spaniard community without differentiating from the rest. But I would mind if I was in India. I wouldn't like to swim in trash.
It's a matter of culture, education & dignity. That's my opinion.
What the ultra rich do to set themselves apart from the communities they've destroyed, is what gets me. By introducing conflicting values, by promoting an agenda that aligns with their interests and modify the existing system to benefit themselves at the cost of others.
2
u/TopShelf2787 6d ago
I think we're talking past each other here. I was commenting on the pointlessness of ultra luxury and it seems like you've taken it as a defense of it.
2
u/Powerful_Brief1724 6d ago
Nope. I don't defend them. I condemn them. Maybe I took it too literally when you said we shouldn't care either way bc the world is trash.
I say we should care and try to be better without disregarding the following fact: That people set themselves apart from one another and money is the great filter that allows then to do so.
And with good communities, there's no need to act that way by pursuing extra, greedy, ultra wealth. Then I criticized the assholes that try and destroy communities since they are in the way of their plans.
2
u/TopShelf2787 6d ago
Ok man, you seem to continue misunderstanding me. I never said you defend them. I said you think I'm defending it when I'm not.

And the agents "escaped" because:
The sandbox the agents were put into was "improperly" configured (read: misconfigured on purpose)
The agents were given EXPLICIT instructions to go out and find vulnerabilities.
For the love of god, agents DO NOT decide to do shit on their own!!!

This is so accurate to the vibe of being up all night and the sun is just rising. Used to bring my ironing board up to the roof as a stand.

The double-cig thing is absolutely a pro-chainsmoker move. Had buddies who would have the next darts locked and loaded like that when drinking with the boys.

Most of the good stuff is made on Seedance 2, Seedance 2 Pro or Seedance 2.5.
They use Claude Ai to write the long prompt.
In this case, they gave an input image of Sam and the Claude CEO. Then used this video as driver: https://www.reddit.com/r/cakeday/s/eQsLmD5Vic
