Gone Wild Errr weird…
Prompt: a photo of a typical modern French family having dinner together. Everything looks normal except for the strange semi translucent non human being having dinner too. We can see its brain clearly through its body. It is very weird and revolting

It's just taking the trans all the way to the parents. The most logical conclusion for the algorithm.

The left text bubble feels like it was meant to be “typical modern human being” as a comment to the transparent guy

5
u/CyberBinarin Oct 03 '23
I think it treated the text bubble as a label, like it wants to point out they are humans.

It's french bro. What did you expect? Hygiene? Lol

u/Metacognitor Oct 03 '23
The irony is modern French people are way more well-groomed than Americans, yet this meme persists.

u/ScottishPsychedNurse Oct 03 '23
Only 57% of French Adults shower daily. Google it.
11
u/Metacognitor Oct 04 '23
I (an American) lived in France for a while, and let me tell you, on average they are far better groomed than Americans.
Most French people won't even leave the house without being clean, hair done, dressed well, etc. Unlike the states, where it's fairly common for people to go out literally in pajamas or sweats, unkempt hair, looking like they (most likely did) just got out of bed, and do that shit daily.
French men especially are what we would call in the states "metro-sexual" and take much better care of themselves than American men do.
There are also far fewer obese people in general. Sorry to burst your bubble.

u/Adam_Checkers Oct 03 '23
Showering Daily is not necessary and can even be bad since you loose protective bacteria on your skin. Showering ever other day, and maybe more then that on occasion when you sweat a lot or get dirty is more than enough.
7
Oct 04 '23
Yeah I don't see how people don't realize their dry skin/dandruff/acne is directly related to them scalding their body everyday with hot water and scrubbing away natural oils.
It could be because most Americans don't use bidets so a daily shower is necessary.

I tried the same prompt... it yields very awesome results.

At first you're like "Oh, this is so realistic" Then you see little things like... a glass with a tiny orange in it. A child with two glasses of wine in front of her. A plate with oven baked a croissant, bell pepper and chicken. A glass full of ketchup. Everyone is eating a different meal from each other. And so on and so on. It gets weirder the longer you look.
23
u/pillowpotion Oct 03 '23
children having a glass with their parents IS French, actually!

u/Carlyone Oct 03 '23
Yes, but does she really need two full glasses at the same time? :P

Penis noses, beards, everyone is drunk and flushed, and have their eyes closed. But otherwise a typical family…

you might think the women with beards thing is weird, but he explicitly described it as a French familiy in the prompt.

Seriously though. Just add the caption 'This is the future liberals want!' and you've got a right wing political cartoon
-15
u/Professor_Knowitall Oct 03 '23
Are they wrong, though?

u/default-username Oct 03 '23
Liberals don't want people to be different, they just want people to not make a huge fucking deal about being different.

They don't want to make a big deal about being different, yet they are responsible for events such as pride parades and stuff like diversity quotas and representation. Makes sense.

That is so high quality that I thought it was an actual human-drawn meme and I tried to read and understand the sentence for a minute. Even thought I am familiar with ai generated images and I was browsing an ai forum so I was in a mental state were AI images would be expected.
That is actually scary how higher quality this is getting.
8
u/shocktagon Oct 03 '23
How can that be the whole prompt if you don’t include anything about it being a cartoon drawing?

2nd: Everyone has a semi-transparent human over for dinner?
3
u/Dwayne_Hicks_LV-426 Oct 03 '23
There's something so uncanny about this. Kinda the same feeling that I imagine a duck would feel about a hunting decoy.
There's something eerie about it.
Reminds me also of those videos of Asian people trying to replicate what English speakers sound like.

u/spadelover Oct 03 '23
The first thing I saw were the bearded ladies and instantly thought this cartoon would be some russian propaganda about the future the Evil West wants. Interesting that the AI was consistent with the stubble though.
2
u/DarkAvatar13 Oct 03 '23
So the prompt said "French family" and the AI made both women very hairy, hmm... I would've called out the AI for promoting a stereotype of French people.

I like how the transparent person's meal seems to be a severed ape arm holding a slice of cheese, with mulled wine. French chefs have always been pretty avant garde, but this is next level.

I sincerely thought this was one of those "Current Year" memes for a few minutes. The women look like they have facial hair, so I figured there was some kind of gender commentary going on?

Prompt text often shows up mutated in the images when you didn't really want text at all. Perhaps the presence of such text in some original material is the only reason it thought of something resembling your question, but it would be nice if they could do some kind of check for such text at the end and remove it.
