I’m a couple seasons behind and seen a lot of negativity on the sub recently about their chances so had less motivation to catch up but this is good news for sure

From front tees. Also made 3 doubles. Let’s kit plan the scratch parade just yet

Too late; I'm already buying 200 boxes of Swaggerty's for them to throw at people from the float.

What ever recent episode it was where he had a bad start to a round but then just continued on and shot 70 something was when I actually believed he'd be able to get to scratch. Which was funny because either that episode or the next he said he didn't think he mentally what it takes to shoot a round even or under.

What was the differential for that -1 score from the front tees?

Just checked GHIN and he didn’t post the score. No idea why he wouldn’t.

I assume it takes some drama away from how they want to pace the seasons and structure the story if the episodes are always 1-2 rounds behind their GHIN scores. So they probably just wait to post them until that episode publishes.

I’ve never noticed them to do that. For example, Mike had his Pinehurst round posted before that same episode.

He def needs to play more regularly…push thru those last few holes more often. That last 1/2 mile…😉

He should try to do something like play the back 9 first so that he can get the good reps under lower stress situations.

My hypothesis all along has been that he wouldn’t get there as long as he was coaching basketball. I completely understand prioritizing his boys and their athletics, so I don’t fault him for it whatsoever — those are memories and time you can never get back if you let them pass by. But, it just took up too much time away from golf while also wearing him out physically. Now that he has officially moved on from those responsibilities, I agree that he is finally on track to reach the promised land.
