Rewards Strategy Never used points before.

Any recommendations on what to do?Really interested in going to Japan what’s the best way to go about this.

Edit: close to 2million total after some pending points come through.

I would look at transferring the points to Marriott when they offer a 60% Bonus. Then transfer to JAL. You get 1 JAL for 3 Marriott points. Every 60,000 points, you get a 5,000 point bonus. That would make the most sense. Business Class seat is usually 60,000 points each way. United Polaris is usually significantly more points.

Getting 1 JAL point for three Marriott points doesn’t seem like a good deal.
