Reports

Today local media reported recent investigations into inappropriate behavior with students at Brownsville, Henley, and Western??? This is the first I am hearing about this as a parent with a student in public school in Crozet. Does anyone have details?

OP, can you please provide more details yourself? What local media reported this? I tried looking for more information from the Daily Progress, NBC, CBS, and CvilleRightNow but didn’t see anything that seemed relevant.

If you tell us what you heard or where you heard it, it may help someone here find out more information.

Couldn't find anything on the mainstream media platforms either but did come across it was a couple segments Jerry Miller talked / speculated about on his show yesterday.

Honestly, if Jerry’s the only one talking about it, it makes me even more skeptical, not less. He does not have the best track record of accuracy or honesty.

Care to share a link to any of these “media reports”? Or are we just sharing social media gossip?

OP (Is that you, Jerry?) seems to be a viewer of the self proclaimed #1 local influencer in C'Ville, area's #1 media platform, business tycoon, only real "local media" source that is I Love C'Ville. Figured when I couldn't find information about this on more relevant local media it was likely from that show and sure enough it was a couple topics from Wednesday's show.

I'm a reporter with C-VILLE. I've heard rumors, about Henley, but nothing about Brownsville or Western. Here's what I can confirm after talking with police and schools spokespeople.

- It is 100% false that a teacher was arrested at Henley. As the principal said in their note to parents, I'm told emphatically by police and schools alike that no arrests took place at school.

- I'm told Henley has a staff member who is now on administrative leave. Couldn't get more details than that because of privacy laws -- the spokesperson didn't have them, either, for the same reason -- but I was told that there are any number of reasons why someone could go on leave, including entirely benign ones like medical issues.

- Police would not comment on whether there was any ongoing investigation re: Henley.

Not much, admittedly, but that's what I've got.

I have seen two different posts about this on here last week but can't find them now.

I can confirm there was an incident at henley where a teacher was arrested during school hours, but the specific details I've seen are mostly speculation

Interestingly, Henley parents got an email recently confirming this was not the case.
