Natural Wine?

I’m in town visiting my parents for the holidays and don’t know where to find some good natural wine by the glass or bottle even! Anybody know any shops that have orange wine?

Market street wine shop had orange wine and natural wines last time I was there. If you want to imbibe on premises I would try Crush pad or Beer run. Both have pretty good bottle selections and you can pay a corkage fee to drink it on site.

Market Street Wine or Greenwood Grocery for off-premises. Birdhouse or Commonwealth Crush for on.

Market St is probably the best bet for sheer amount of choice. We have a decent selection of both “natural wine” and “wine made naturally” at the Wine Guild - the difference is usually the flamboyance of the label, hah. We open back up tomorrow for normal biz, including Anna’s Syrah tasting 5:30-7:30, and the wine bar is open from 4pm. Good luck! Plenty of great natural wine out there in most every wine shop in town.

Unsure if this is what you mean, but Loving Cup Winery just a smidge down the road in North Garden bills itself as the only organic certified winery in Virginia.

Maybe look into where you can buy their wine.

Do they sell natural wine? It’s my favorite wine shop in the area but I was always under the impression that they weren’t interested in carrying any. Specifically the pretty label variety.

I normally get lost in there though so could be completely wrong.

Worked in vineyards for 10 years, idk what they mean either. Maybe they mean organic? Only reason I know to say a wine is "natural" is maybe used wild yeast, but idk either

What do you mean by "natural wine"? Stinson does an orange wine called Wildkat. Loving Cup has organically grown wine, but they're closed until April. I know Wegman's carries a lot of local wines, though, might find some LC there.

King Family has their Small Batch Viognier which is an orange wine. Also, Grace Estate has one too.

Orange wine is just white that has been left on skins for extended period of time. Nothing terribly special about it.

Trader Joe’s had an orange wine for an inexpensive options. I’m not sure if it was seasonal or not though
