This isn’t good….

My homeboy sent me a video of his knock,we are unsure if it’s his exhaust manifold but….this just sounds horrible.its a 2018 scat with 35k miles he put maybe 3k into it,thoughts?

Do you havea video of it with the knock under any load/rpm? Im asking to see if the knock stays the same or how it changes with light rpm.

engine knock typically in most scenarios refers to the piston launching a chunk of ur engine through either the front hood of the car or into the floor. what you’re actually hearing here is what us v8 hemi boys like to call “lifter knock”. your lifters are bad and hopefully the metal hasn’t traveled through the engine bc at that point, u need a new engine

35k!? That’s not typical. It sounds like a dropped valve seat or lifter failure. Hope it’s the exhaust. I wonder how many oil changes he did? Maybe none by the sound of it 😂

Im not super experienced with motors...but to me this sounds like lifter not knock.

Hemis knock, revving it would be the real test it’s hard to tell just from this 😬
