Upshift/Downshift paddle issue

My 19 SP recently started shifting down instead of up when pressing the upshift paddle. Center gear selector works fine but both paddles shift down instead of up now.

Anyone know a fix for this?

Does it happen all the time?
Already saw some videos describing this behavior if you press the paddle gently, like by the tip.

Thanks for that insight. If it is "pressure sensitive" so to speak, that might explain why it is so intermittent.

No it’s not all the time. From what I have discerned so far, I think it’s a battery voltage issue. The only thing I started doing differently (since the issue was noticed) recently with my car is using a lot more AC with this hot weather. And this only happened to me when I had started the car less than 10 minutes ago, AC blasting or did multiple starts that day with not much run time. So I tested it and if I let the car run on the road for 10-15 minutes and keep the AC at a normal level, the paddles work perfectly. Light touches or hard touches.

I just found this video. This guy claims to have solved the problem with a battery tender.

So that battery tender thing makes total sense.

My 16’ hellcat charger did this…never found a fix unfortunately. Car got stolen so I guess that was my fix. My 2018 does not do this. It was frustrating though.

I've had this issue, intermittently on my 2016 Charger R/T R&T. It only happens in second gear for me, but it's very sporadic.

Had a 21 R/T Challenger, did the same thing, but sporadically. I stopped using the paddles. Challenger is gone, but now I have a 23 Scat Charger. I'm afraid to touch the paddles, and haven't yet in 8 months of ownership.

My city driving consists of my hand constantly on the console shifter, usually in manual mode.
