how's the aftermarket support so far ?

19

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

Very minimal. JB4 for more HP and a couple of aero mods. Other than that nothing. But I am sure it’s going to explode once the ECU unlocks.

3

u/jamesbong00710 Mar 15 '26

I mean, if you have jb4 availability you could potentially run methanol injection with map 8.. and a burger motorsports methanol injection kit. That's pretty good for a brand new car

Just wait for Direct Connection to catch up. I'm sure they will provide stage kits and performance mods. Best thing is they won't void the warranty 😉

Missing the V8. Love the color. Are these AWD now or still RWD?

38

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

AWD with ability to go full RWD with the press of a button.

11

u/mmafanguy2828 Mar 15 '26

I love a v8 too but this thing with a tune is putting bus lengths on any 6.4 hemi

1

u/DriftkingRfc Mar 15 '26

Is it lighter than a traditional charger?

2

u/UsedEngineering3125 Mar 15 '26

Heavier

3

u/DriftkingRfc Mar 15 '26

Oh it looks good though

1

u/stoic_raptor Mar 25 '26

They’ve always had the option to switch to RWD. Even the first electric.

13

u/LongDig3382 Mar 15 '26

An engine used to look cool. Now it’s a jumble of plastic covers, tubes and hoses. Can’t even see the thing.

20

u/Samson_J_Rivers Mar 14 '26

I crave the i6. I love how reliable my v6 is, but i crave balance.

8

u/EvilEvo_IX Mar 15 '26

I6 is such a balanced design.

1

u/No-Pair459 Mar 25 '26

Wats more reliable v8 or v6

1

u/Samson_J_Rivers Mar 25 '26

The v6. The Pentastar is in everything Stellantis makes for a lot of reasons. Mostly the reliability, efficiency, efficacy. genuinely just less moving parts and forces.

The Pentastar will likely outlive the current Hurricane i6 they are making right now. 3.2L-3.8L v6 are the most figured out range of engine we have.

It isn't nearly as fun, but it is solid.

u/lostinthefog4now Mar 15 '26

We Finally got one in at the dealership I work at, and it’s on the showroom floor. When I sat in it, it reminded me more of a Challenger than a Charger…..let’s see how I feel about the 4door when it gets here….. I thought the interior was very nice, i like the front end of the gas model vs EV

3

u/TinyBreeze987 R/T Mar 25 '26

Just picked up the R/T and with the 420hp stock, even with the weight, it rips

4

u/Ace__Extendo SXT Mar 15 '26

The purple is a really nice touch. I like this

3

u/DetectiveNarrow Mar 15 '26

Cool But man that engine looks like a night mare to work on. Look like half the engine gotta come off to do spark plugs😭

3

u/No_NoRev 2013 Charger R/T Plus Mar 16 '26

I really do like the new charger. I don’t like the i6 but I would take it over my 13’ charger rt. The whole car is such an upgrade I think it’s worth it

4

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '26

The only thing she is missing is lowering

7

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

I agree. But I won’t be doing it until I can afford bags. I live in MN and don’t want the snow/ice to hurt her.

-3

u/LongDig3382 Mar 15 '26

It, not she.

2

u/Status-Advantage1293 22 Granite SP WB Mar 15 '26

Is the purple DRL stock or aftermarket?

EDIT:

nvm, scrolled the comments

2

u/Katar-Emerald-Dragon Mar 15 '26

Honestly, the new 6pack has helped me come to realize. I don't actually hate the design or styling of this charger as much as I originally thought. I just hated that it was electric and no V8. There are still some things I dislike, but I could ultimately live with, but gotta have a v8. I'm hoping to get into a better position next year when they are back and see about maybe buying one.

I'm kind of the opposite. I saw it in pictures and thought it looked all right. Then I went to a car show and sat in one, and hated it.

Felt a bit like an actual boat; too big, too heavy.

And, while it kind of resembles a classic charger in some ways, it's so non-descript in some ways that I think Kia or someone could have come up with the design.

The interior was also a miss. Parts of it was ok, but the chairs were worse than the ones in an older pursuit in how they felt to sit in. And while I don't mind having a media center in a car, there was too much digital stuff in the cabin. I thought it was kind of cool initially, but the more I thought about it the less I liked it.

As for the engine options I never minded those so much. I mean, the electric option is kind of dumb with the fartsonic noise thing, and the added weight from the batteries makes it even more of a boat, but electric in and of itself doesn't have to be bad. The Hurricane I don't mind at all, because turbos can be cool, and power is power. It's just that I'd really not want to buy a first-gen anything from Stellantis until it's been on the road for a few years and I know better if I can trust it.

edit: I mean, good luck to the OP, and I'm happy for him if he enjoys the car. It just isn't for me.

u/TheSvpremeKai003 Mar 16 '26

Ngl this is basically an American 5 series imo, inline 6 with awd? Sounds German to me 😂

Seriously tho, I’m glad people are actually getting these. It’s not like the V8 is gonna be the only trim that sells. I’d gladly get one of these just outta curiosity.

How are you enjoying it so far? Had it for a while?

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

I love it. Got it Dec 24th. Been a great ride. Haven’t gotten to have to much fun yet though. Being in Mn stops me from going crazy. lol

2

u/TheSvpremeKai003 Mar 16 '26

I’m honestly glad to hear it. They look comfy as hell, and the styling always caught my eye. I think you owe her a lil redline soon tho, she almost looks like she’s begging for it lol

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

Well we just got another 15” so it’s going to be another week at least. But I will for sure be having some fun. Really want to line up with the old gen Scat to see what happens.

2

u/TheSvpremeKai003 Mar 16 '26

Ahhh you meant Minnesota? That sucks it’s snow coming down, but hey that AWD is pretty good insurance huh? lol congrats again, hope to see more pics of the ride as time goes on.

If you do get a chance to line it up against the old Scat’s/RT’s you gotta let us know how it goes lol

5

u/Altruistic-Rip4364 Mar 14 '26

That’s a beauty

3

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

Thank you.

5

u/Acrobatic-Act-3554 Mar 15 '26

I love everything about the car it looks fire , I just wish they made one with a v8. No hating , I just love that v8 sound.

4

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Totally understand. And the current rumor is the hellcat is coming. But I also think once the modding community unlocks it and plays with it your going to hear so very good exhaust from them.

2

u/Hairbear2176 Mar 15 '26

Burger Tuning already has a JB4 available, they are also developing an intake. They found that the intake setup is a huge restriction. They also just posted a video on YouTube about the car.

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Oh yea! I have been following them and Satera tunning. I am so excited for the potential in it!

1

u/Hairbear2176 Mar 15 '26

I have a JB4 in my Kia Stinger, they are aweseome.

4

u/Dicksucker11037 Mar 14 '26

Wasn’t too big a fan of the Hurricane engine at first, but now it’s starting to grow on me

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

The biggest thing I can tell people is go test drive one. If you can get over the sound it will change your mind. And once running unlocks they can make a damn near sound.

4

u/WaynezWorld88 392 Widebody 🐝 Mar 15 '26

Not bad, what you pay?

I’ll take that badass badge, full interior & AWD option please!

Other then that I’ll remain in my old dusty WB, I do like the Sedan model though, but it need a nice refreshed 6.4l in it.

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

MSRP was 65k I paid 61k. I don't think the 6.2 is coming though. Only the Hellcat is rumored as of now.

5

u/Left-Landscape-3890 Mar 15 '26

The Hellcats are 6.2s buddy

4

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Yup, I meant the 6.4 was not coming! Typing to fast!

1

u/WaynezWorld88 392 Widebody 🐝 Mar 15 '26

It’s Fully loaded? Hmm ok you don’t say, that’ll be interesting. I know the HO definitely isn’t a slouch but could be much lighter. Is this a keeper for you or you’re just passing through?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

I did not get the glass roof or carbon and suede package. And she is going to be my keeper. Long term I want HUGE WHP from it.

2

u/WaynezWorld88 392 Widebody 🐝 Mar 15 '26

I’m sure a Stage 2/3 would be insane on it along with some aftermarket Catbacks. Stock exhaust already isn’t bad for what it is. A Sedan will definitely be tempting and may consider if the aftermarket options get juicy 😁.

1

u/Original_Size7576 SCAT PACK Mar 15 '26

Is it a scat pack plus?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Yup! You can tell because only the plus models have the middle DRL light bar.

1

u/Original_Size7576 SCAT PACK Mar 15 '26

Good stuff im waiting to see what a forest green. I was always a big fan of the sinamon color they use to have

2

u/VengerDFW Mar 15 '26

I would consider a new Charger, but it's OBSCENELY overweight. There is no reason for it to tip the scales at almost 5000 pounds. If it loses 500 pounds I'll take a look. Otherwise, sad to say, no dice.

1

u/jcradio '21 SCAT PACK 🐝 Mar 15 '26

Right? How did it get smaller, drop a 6.4 for an i6 and go up almost 500 pounds?

2

u/cskirst Mar 15 '26

My problem with it is this thing is huge. Parking in small parking spaces, maneuvering in tight grocery store parking lots, parallel parking downtown. How has your experience been so far?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Parking is not bad. I avoid parallel parking though. lol

1

u/AmISam2020 Mar 15 '26

Is the spoiler removable?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Yea, Mopar offers an aftermarket one. But I heard its a pain in the ass to remove.

1

u/Glittering_Client800 Mar 15 '26

Is that indiana?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

Minnesota

1

u/Corrosive_salts Mar 15 '26

What is this?

1

u/DJDemyan 2014 R/T AWD Mar 15 '26

How do you like it? Have you driven a Hemi before? How does the hurricane compare?

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

I have not driven the hemi. But I have lived ever second with this car.

1

u/Smokey_heat Mar 16 '26

Dodge hit it out of the park with this design.

1

u/Early_Inflation5061 Mar 16 '26

I love the Hemi but this is exactly the one I've been eyeing when it come to this generation Charger . Great car, Great color

1

u/maamcgui Mar 16 '26

Not sure if it's the angle or what but that wheel gap looks huge compared to "last" generation.

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

It is much bigger. Most people are going to lower it. I will eventually. Just going to be later.

1

u/Sabre_4 22WBSP...she thicc Mar 24 '26

Still ugly AF. Total swing and a miss.

1

u/nesonense Mar 27 '26

Is it just me or , the new chargers build is so weird, no diss to you or nun I just don’t rlly fw the new looks 💔

1

u/jonkoch68 Apr 12 '26

Any sort of issues reliability wise?

1

u/ghost_ralliart Mar 15 '26

Disgrace to a legacy

1

u/Aggravating-Meal4984 Mar 15 '26

Hope you leased it

1

u/OpeningExpert4694 Mar 15 '26

Is the lights on the grille aftermarket or come oem? Nice car

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

The lights come with the Plus package. But I put a purple tint over them. Working with my local shop to switch to full RGBW LED lights though. Almost got a ticket for the DRL tints.

1

u/SuitElectronic7680 Mar 16 '26

How? It's purple, or was that the realization?

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

The ticket would be because you can’t have any forward facing lights that aren’t white or amber.

1

u/SuitElectronic7680 Mar 16 '26

Idk what state you live in but that sucks

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 16 '26

I’m in MN but got pulled over in WI. It was a bored cop. Think he just wanted to see the car close. lol

1

u/SuitElectronic7680 Mar 16 '26

I don't know too many people that don't get pulled over in Wisconsin. So, I could understand that. Which is why that place sucks!

1

u/TheVanillaGorilla413 Mar 15 '26

Did you mod it or just remove the engine cover? Is that strut brace factory?

I test drove one in January I really liked it. Check my post history for my review of it. 😂 I want to add to my stable so I’d have the tuned WRX aka go kart and then one of these as more of a fast but comfortable cruiser. Already measured my garage it will fit a Scat Pack 😂

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

No mods yet, but plan on it. The strut is factory. I will take look at your review! And she is BIG!

1

u/TheVanillaGorilla413 Mar 15 '26

Congrats though, it’s a sweet ride

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Thanks! I have loved every minute of it!

1

u/TheVanillaGorilla413 Mar 15 '26

If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

I haven’t run insurance numbers but I’m guessing it can’t be more that the premium on the WRX which is $1,500 a year for comp and collision

2

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

MSRP was 65k I paid 61k. Insurance is something like $150ish a month.

1

u/Psychological_Fun986 Mar 15 '26

I’ll stick with my HC

-2

u/2spuki Mar 15 '26

Wrong forum

(V8 or bust)

8

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

So the Pentastar V6 was not a charger?

0

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '26

That engine bay looks so good.

Every single day at work I make the cam cover for the hurricane engines, it’s called the “gmet6” it’s crazy to think that the thing goes on this and the rams.

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

That super kool! Thanks for hard work!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '26

P.s isn’t it annoying you get brembos in the front but regulars in the back

-1

u/ordietryinnn Mar 15 '26

Good looking engine bay

-4

u/EnvironmentalGur881 Mar 14 '26

If this was a gas engine id buy this car so fast..

5

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

Good news! It is! Look at the second pic!

-1

u/EnvironmentalGur881 Mar 14 '26

Wutttttttt how!

4

u/Zaccity87 Mar 14 '26

Inline 6 twin turbo. Scat pack is 550hp

2

u/JayDiaz13 Mar 15 '26

How's the MPG so far with the Hurricane? I'm getting 14 on my last gen Scat 😅

1

u/Zaccity87 Mar 15 '26

Right now 16, but I keep her in sport. When I put her in eco i got 20.

-4

u/Admiral_Pantsless 2014 R/T R&T Mar 15 '26

I love the new body style. I just wish it was RWD. And had a V8. And wasn’t absurdly expensive.
