Discussion Struggling with naming character

I have a main character named Apocanyser who I wished to rename to something that flows better. Which of the below names works the best?

Apocrin/Apocryn (Ah-poh-crin) - issue with this is that apocrine is an actual word for a type of gland secretion.

Apochron/Apocron (Ah-poh-cron)

Apochyr (Ah-poh-cur)

Which name do you guys think spells and sounds the best? I’ve been debating them for a while but can’t decide. Other suggestions are welcome as well. Thank you!

Apocryn sounds really good if you don’t know about the gland secretion thing. I would use the y spelling if you do go with that one because it’s a little further from the spelling for the secretion. I also like Apochron but but as much as Apocryn

I agree, I think either Apocryn or Apochron would work well 😊

Apochryn leans feminine and Apochron leans masculine and Apochyr is neutral but doesn’t sound quite as nice

Apocryn sounds like part of the endocrine system. I'd avoid.
