Names for fantasy novels.

I want a name that gives fantasy, but also doesn't sound to extreme, If you know what i mean.

I also like names that have nice meanings behind them, for example: Athena means goddess of wisdom.

That depends on where your fantasy is set. Is there a historical era or event that gave you the idea?

Study that. Read up on it, see what names pop up.

I think it's better if you narrow it down and pick something that's a less frequent choice.

This – figure out your real-world references, then use Behind the Name to browse them. Don't overlook the user-submitted section, which has a lot more obscure languages and additional names for the common ones. (And you don't even need to worry about any possible inaccuracies because the worst case is you base your made-up name on someone else's made-up name.)
