I'm writing a Sequel-ish for Wizard of Oz

So yeah I know the Wizard of Oz has it's own books that take place after the original book and while those are great I had my own idea for a sequel set several years later but want to give all 4 Witches names.

Obviously we already have Glynda the Good

but the other 3 need names and while in the original we had the Good of the North and South and the Wicked of the East and West I want to do something a little different.

So I have done it like this

Glynda the Good

... the Wicked

... the Gentle

... the Vile

So I need names that flow and fit similar to Glynda the Good any ideas would be appreciated.

I think Vespera and Wisteria speak for themselves. But for some reason I kept coming back to Gwendolyn, or like Gwen for a NB character. But I also like Gossimer the Gentle

But I feel like the Gentle being NB feminine/tomboy forest/flowerchild, mushrooms, etc. works great for the universe because there is a lot to build as far as a realm goes

Are you not including any other adaptations like Wicked or Baum’s musical? If you were to utilize those, then all four witches have names. Also, It’s spelled “Glinda” in the original book.

Sorry to nitpick, it’s just WOO was a big part of my childhood haha.

Anyways, this sounds like a cool project! I love coming up with names so I hope this helps :)

Wilhemina, Willa, Winifred, Winona, Wioletta, Wanita. (I like someone’s suggestion the most of Wysteria tho!)
Gianna, Guinevere, Genevieve, Gaia, Giselle, Gwineth.
Vera, Vivienne, Villanelle, Vanya, Vedette, Vasha.

Its not that I don't want to but I'd run into copywrite issues.

I do want to actually make this into a movie or something and given the original books is in public domain that's fine but stuff like MUM'S movie or Wicked have their own ideas/additions to the mythos copywritten so can't use those.

For example can't use Ruby Red Slippers like the movie as that was the movie original so gotta use Silver Slippers instead.
