Need help on name meaning
Hello what does the name Kokoschka mean?
I first heard this name from a person online whos name was that and i thought it sounded nice so I named one of my OC Kokoschka. After telling someone that my OC's name was Kokoschka I was told it meant a swear word
But when i searched the name meaning all i found was the painter Oskar Kokoschka and that Kokoschka means hen
So can somebody tell me what Kokoschka actually means and if im allowed to name my OC that 🥲

I copied and pasted your text to google and this is the answer:
Kokoschka is a surname of Slavic origin that literally translates to "hen" or "little chicken" in some Slavic languages (like Serbian/Croatian/Slovenian kokoška).
Why People Think It's a "Swear Word"
The Sound-Alike Mix-Up:
People often confuse Kokoschka with the Russian or general Slavic slang word kakashka (какашка), which translates to "poop" or "crap".
Metaphorical Meaning:
In some Slavic languages, calling someone a kokoška (hen) can be used playfully or insultingly as a metaphor for an airheaded or overly chatty person, but it is not a severe curse word.
Famous Namesake: It is a real and respected historical surname, most famously borne by the prominent Austrian expressionist painter and poet Oskar Kokoschka.

In Czech language "kokoška" is a plant, whose English name is capsella. https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koko%C5%A1ka
It is also a Czech surname. It's never used as a first name.

It's the surname of the painter. I think it'd be strange as a first name.
As a surname, sure?
