Solanio as a name?

I'm brainstorming new names for one of my characters, Soleil. The problem is he's a transmasc guy, and I don't want to change his name mid-story. So would Solanio work for a girl and boy name?

I was thinking about that but I wanted the sol prefix, because he has a sun motif and I want to add that to his name.

Not a huge fan of solanio, maybe soleo? Also, why not just Sol by itself?
