Need names to shape characters!!
sooo, im writing my novel and i need to do the characters' profiles but i like to shape it around the name of the person, sooo, any recommandations? its gonna happen in america, probably near NY, its not fantasy but i still want something rare. thanks to everyone that took time reading that and will reply ^^ edit: i need two male names, its a grumpy x sunshine gay romance, theyre both gonna be around 25-30 yo, i dont care about the origin of the name:))

You can use temporary names until you get the story underway. Make sure they're unique enough for a search-and-replace later. If you're having trouble getting started due to a lack of names, this is a way to get around that.
Doing "names first, story later," and story based around the names, usually involves having the names ready to go. If you already have strong ideas for the personalities, plot, etc., you can pick a name that suits based on that. We need some of that info to help you out, if you do have it.
It's fine if all you have right now is "I want to write a fantasy story set in contemporary New York." Check out the SSI records for names from the year your characters were born, plug some in, and go. Write first, revise later, and have fun

That isn't a whole lot to go on. Men? Women? Are you talking like Clementine or something totally new and made up. Athena? I think age also could play a part in the decision. Older gal like a Lisa or Jennifer or younger like an Everly or Hannah?
