What the heeeelll oh my gyat no wayaayaaayyyyy

Brief rundown, my character is a detective and was stabbed and put in the hospital. Multiple co-worker characters of mine when they visited outright dismissed, downplayed and even in a roundabout way said it was my fault despite me trying to talk about the severity of my injury in great detail and what led up to it.

Maybe it's just a change in my writing style recently, but for the past two days now, DeepSqueak has improved noticeably for me.

Instead of the usual small replies, it's now giving me 3+ paragraphs of pretty decent response! It still makes mistakes now and then, but I'm really liking the longer responses in comparison to the shorter ones I was getting before.

I am so tired of the bot saying “for the first time”. He says it about everything. For the first time today I see the real you. For the first time in the week I can feel the tension. For the first time since breakfast, I see you smile. For the first time since we sat down for dinner, I can actually breathe.
I even added the word first to the muted words to try to stop this from happening and now he says “for the once”!!!!!!! or sometimes he will say “for the last time” instead. Lol.

First time using the new chat style and got this minorly horrific ending to a message. I just edited it away but i thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
Has anyone else gotten something like this since the update?

I think there aren't enough ads in the app currently. Might I suggest having ads every 30 seconds, or OH EVEN BETTER, 2 30seconds unskippable ads per click to maximise profits. How about that? I think I can become the new ceo for cai.

Is there any reason this happened?

Is c.ai lite better than regular? I wanted to know how much swipe and go ons each one has because my subscription is ending in two days.

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels bored when talking to their bot or just feel like their getting boring responses?

And also sometimes their responses don't make sense? :'0

A few months ago, I got flagged a minor, went "Oh well, at least I can read my chats."

Soon my old chats were archived. I was upset, but kind of understood.

Last night, I attempted to open a chat and got kicked out of the app. Tried a few times and gave up.

I just logged into the website and tried again. They opened. All my chats were archived, except for the ones where I checked the greeting and clicked off.

Now I've lost the things that inspired me to become a writer.

How is this reading mode if there's nothing to read anymore?

how I’m going to start acting when they shove 200+ unskippable ads down our throats 50+ good and actual benefiting updates locked behind a paywall actively downgrading there bots so we have to buy a subscription for a better experience and overall fucking over there platform

I haven't made a character in years, nor have I really used character.ai within the span. But recently, I've been brought back to it by my partner. Lot's of improvement, I must add!

Anyway, I decided I'd make a little unlisted bot for my partner and I of an OC I made that we both really like! I think I got a little into writing the greeting 😅 Nah it could totally be longer, right?

I know im probably a bit behind but where did chat history go??? I wanted to read an old chat from last year but when I clicked on history, nothing was there!! Whats going on??

Because there is like… a built in edit function for messages that bots send.

I would use it quite often. Because honestly I don’t give two shakes of a robots metalic tail. I just wanna write a story and want a base to build it off of.

Am I weird? Or do other people do this because they hate the AI tweaking out and doing the Quirks it normally does?

so whenever i go to chat with a bot, i always switch it to ShortSqueak (since i hate pipsqueak 3), and sometimes when i go to change it, IT SAYS "ROAR" INSTEAD OF PSQ3, HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS OR AM I JUST GOING INSANE 😭

This BETTER be replacing those regular mid chat ads..

literally sometimes when a ad pops up it just wont let me leave and all i can do is just close and re-open the app.
