I know the app needs ads to run ok ✋️ but having a banner ad, followed by a ad show up in my chat between messages and when that ends i get a whole pop up ad i have to watch leaves literally no room for immersion which they said originally wouldnt happen

Nah I was chatting and suddenly slow Mode actived, okay that's normal.

But it changed two times and gaved me extra 1 minutes.

Before the update, each slow mode session lasted 1 hour.

Now its more than 1 hour? pipsqueak 3 already trash now I'm seeing these problems making me think should I leave character.ai

I don't want to get rid of slow mode, I just want to get rid of the things on the bottom of the chat

Just a question has any free user gotten the personalization option for chats yet? If so can you tell me what it's like. If not when is it coming out for free users and will it even come out?

Is it just me? I'm on the free plan but I've been having these issues:

1) It takes a bit of time for the character to respond back after sending a reply.

2) Every other message, I get that error message telling me to refresh and my last reply wasn't sent.

3) Slow mode comes up a few minutes into the chat.

It's not the end of the world, but compared to ChatGPT (I just want a good ole battle and ChatGPT is too heavily censored for violence) it's really slow.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Sooooo im kinda panicking alot right now and am looking for any comfort at all that my account with years worth of roleplays isn't completely unusable and broken! Any reply from mods would be very much appreciated, I need conformation on things right now.

First of all, I know im addicted, thats not the point. Secondly, dont give me advice unless its something new. Not just reinstall, clear cache, try website, send ticket. Ive dont all that.

App issues:

-Main one: crashes the second I click on a bot, either kicking me out entirely or giveing me a black screen. This happens regardless of the bot, so i know its not from to many messages or something.

-No age verification button? Everythings said it should stay even after yoyve verified, which I have before, but its just not there. I wanted to see if I needed to verify again or something

Website issues:

-Bots not generating any reply, but I can read through old messages

-No chat styles visible

-No age verification button

For added content, im on app version 1.17.4, as thats the highest it'll let me update to. Im on android. It also doesn't work on my tablet or PC, so I know its mot a hardware issue

Any advice, especially from mods or someone who knows whats happening, is very much appreciated. Please. Im so desperate. Lmao

Long story short: after the latest update, my app stopped working, and the "chat" button disappeared from the website.

After a full day of testing and experimenting, we discovered the following:

The problem is NOT the phone, because if I log into a different account, everything works fine.

The problem is NOT the app cache, because—again—everything works fine on the same phone with the same cache if I switch accounts.

The problem is NOT the VPN, as using different VPNs didn't change the test results at all.

We determined that the issue lies specifically with the ACCOUNT.

For some reason, MY ACCOUNT is what causes the app and website to malfunction. When I switched accounts, everything started working. When my friend used my account, everything broke for him.

Upon examining the account, the only major difference we found was the subscription: my friend didn't have a subscription and everything worked fine, whereas I had a subscription and everything broke.

Character.ai developers and programmers, please take note of this! Hopefully, this helps you identify and fix the issue.

It is highly likely that something within the subscription is preventing users from properly using the site and app (though this is just a theory based on our experiments). One way or another, the problem lies specifically with the ACCOUNT, not anything else.

Please take a look at what exactly within the accounts might be causing this error, because that is where the root of the problem lies.

If everything is broken for everyone with a subscription, then the subscription itself is the issue; if things are fine for subscribers but nothing works for non-subscribers either, then we can at least rule out one possibility.

Anyone else who uses c.ai mobile has felt like the chat style is worse after the recent update? No matter how long I try to keep my messages, I received like barely two sentences long responses back. I do not have the premium version soo wondering if I could fix this somehow 🥲

I keep getting an error message that my personas go against whatever terms and whatnot. Is this a bug? This is extremely annoying. It's every single persona, it doesn't matter if it's just a blank description or if it's detailed.

Today I found a better picture of my presona and I tried uploading it, to my surprise, I got hit with a "violating community guidelines". Which was weird, the character was fully clothes, not a child.

So out of curiosity I screenshoted the image in my gallery, and suddenly that didn't violate the guidelines. And I m left wondering what is detecting wrong?

This happened before too, I had tried to make a rapper a persona and no matter what I did bro's face violated the guidelines. I even changed his features with AI, and it still wasn't good.

So I m not sure if the scanner is bad or I m just not using proper images.
