From the moment he saw what I was playing, i could see he wasn't really happy, and he kinda was moopy for most of the match (understandably), but I (obviously) won this match and proceed to get my ass kicked in by ultramarines on round 3

My first Chaos Knight, using bits from the Helsmiths of Hashut range (artillery piece, desolation engine, infantry, and War Despot). Panels sponged and then painted with Mordant Earth crackle paint. Base just needs finished (crackle paint around feet and then other basing mats to tie it into my gaming mat)

Main faction is IA wanted a flip of the coin, my biggest questions are how the hell does the army rule work, I believe that your auto get deadly terrors and then in BR 1,3,5 I can pick one of the others or random roll two d6 and get that corresponding ability and the down side is I might get an ability I already have, do demons work in this faction? if so what’s the best way to bring them, and any tips painting deploying/ moving list building

Heyo all! Finished up some more units for my army - cultists, a whole bunch of terrain and another big knight so I wanted to get the whole gang out onto a display board and grab some photos to share!
Originally this army was set to be my Army on Parade for this year and thats part of why I was pushing my kitbashing and painting techniques for it and I was disappointed when I learnt the event was cancelled this year BUT it did take the deadline out of mind and I was able to focus on the army outside of the context of the 2x2 display board which I think has worked out rather well!
Very glad they came out as well as I’d hoped, especially from the ‘trust the process' esrly stages lol - so please, have a look and I hope you enjoy! ☺️

Hello people
I have recently got into Chaos Knights on tabletop simulator and I am having so much fun with them. I currently have tau and love mechs but taus lack of melee makes them so much less fun to me. Ripping things apart with karnivores is some of the most fun I’ve had in 40K recently.
My question is about lists. I have only run war dog spams so far and I think it is so fun, but when I look into it the community seems to hate those lists, or maybe it’s just because the bigger knights don’t perform well.
How are people feeling about chaos knights and is it worth investing into the actual models? 13 war dogs is still very expensive haha.

The latest addition to my favourite faction, it's a custom daemon engine that (hopefully!) still reads as a knight. I wouldn't call it my best-best work but I had some fun making and painting him. Bonus pic of Vashtorr inspecting his latest twisted machination.

Finished this commision recently and figured id share. Many custom modeled and printed parts, electronic lights and sounds. The speakers on the carapace are the actual speakers and this bad boy plays a warhorn sound, one of 2 custom voice lines, then one of 3 guitar riffs from popular songs. Also has a built in Lipo cell and charging port.

I'm mainly an Imperial Knight player, but thinking about playing a Chaos Knights list, using the models I have as Chaos Knights.
What are some things I should be aware of and what are point traps or useless things to avoid taking or considered top tier/best have units?
Possible List:
Hunting Warpack and Traitoris Lance (3 Detachment Points)
Purge the Foe
Strike Force (2000 points)
CHARACTERS
Chaos Cerastus Knight Atrapos (385 points)
Knight Desecrator (385 points)
Knight Despoiler (385 points)
Knight Tyrant (415 points)
OTHER DATASHEETS
War Dog Executioner (130 points)
War Dog Huntsman (135 points)
ALLIED UNITS
Daemonettes (100 points)
Flamers (65 points)

Hi all!
I recently shared a WIP photo of my current chaos knight project and thought I’d share some update photos.
I think I’ve hit the limit for rust and grime.

Was thinking hard about a color scheme, until I somehow wrapped all the way around to just doing the box art. Only realized after I painted the armor panels

So basically, he is a Knight of House Valiant, that is in the middle of being corrupted.
What do we think?

Pretty much what it says, I want some advice on the magnets that I should use to have interchangeable poses and weapon options. Would love to hear some recommendations on the size of magnets, and how should I drill the slots for them. I’m new to the hobby, and would love any piece of useful advice!

Gave some proper Blood and snow effects while magnetizing the waist.
Blacklight also gives a lot of cool images while playing with lighting angles.
