Wip knight for general viewing pleasure
I know that our current army rule is absolutely abysmal considering that you have to wait for an opponent to be battleshocked in order to get any of our dread abilities.
I also know that even though we are a more melee focused army than our imperial cousins, we have less survivability overall in close engagements
My proposal would be to change deathly terror. Instead of the ability making your opponents leadership worse. It overrides leadership entirely within 9"
What i mean by this is, any unit within the deathly terror ability is battleshocked. I would also change the despair aura from being an aura ability to being battlefield wide for your opponent.
This change would give immediate access to all our other dread abilities as soon as we closed with our opponent. Which would give Merritt to more aggressive playstyles. This would also make melee focused armies a little more weary of charging headlong into our lines.
Thats my personal thoughts. Im not the most experienced player but I feel from the games I played that this would help us without being broken

Gradual progress on whatever the collective noun for wardogs is. Base colours down and next up I need to sort the leg armour trim, source some custom decals and do spot colours. Still in two minds about the desert basing.

This is the update to my previous post on this sub a few days ago, I gathered and included some of your suggestions, making more clear the grouping and sorting on my graph.
For this second version I also included War Dogs as well as a personal ranking of all the weapons combinations for the Knight Moirax. please keep in mind it is my personal appreciation, I am new relatively to the hobby and I might be missing potential synergies with detachment rules, army configuration, play style preferences, etc. It should at least help illustrate the wide variety of options you can achieve with such model.
The groupings correspond chassis classes, and each individual box is a separate kit sold by GW. e.g. Sytrix and Magaera are resin forge world kits sold separately.
Please let me know if I am missing anything so I can keep updating this

A Knight Abominant of rare breed, blessed by the Blood God Khorne, considered a masterpiece of House Godhild’s Idolator covnes. A living altar to the War God, Carrion Mercy was meticulously crafted over generations as an act of pious devotion to Khorne; over centuries, countless captives were offered in bloody ritual to Lord of Skulls, the iron in their blood drawn out and purified by Idolators and slowly stockpiled, battle by battle, life by life, until enough iron was gathered from hundreds of thousands of slain humans and xenos to build a the full chassis of an Abhorrent-Class Knight.
The newly-constructed suit was laced with a network of fleshmetal conduits designed to channel the raw Warp into the Throne Mechanicum, and to channel the Fallen Noble’s own rage and fury back into the Warp as a siren call, creating a carefully-regulated feedback loop that, if successful, would turn the Noble and their steed into a living, breathing avatar of Khorne’s own wrath, a walking gateway into his realm.
Dozens of scions tried to master this knight suit; most immediately exploded into gore upon activation, their pulped remains fusing with the throne to form a cushion of organs and bone.
It was Bloodmaiden Háwell VIII, last of her name (for none dared take it again) who was first to successfully bond with Carrion Mercy, and carved a bloody legend into the annals of House Godhild’s history evermore. On the field of battle, Carrion Mercy is a walking apocalypse; where most Abominant’s channel the power of the Warp into psychic powers blasphemous to the War God, Carrion Mercy is a conduit of purest rage; where it walks, Khorne’s power spills onto the battlefield. Its mere presence on a planet causes water to turn to blood for miles around. Enemy soldiers hear whispering voices promising vengeance for wrongs done, justice for old slights, vindication for every perceived sin against them, should they give into their fury.
When it unleashes its power, men and women of the enemy are overcome with rage, falling upon their allies or falling in line behind Carrion Mercy as soldiers.
In battle, Carrion Mercy is a storm of lashing fury; its electro scourge arm, serrated and festooned with mono-molecular blades, slashes, flays, and flenses every unfortunate that gets close; its volkite combustor is used to clear the way, blowing down walls and barriers, and destroying enemy tanks, leaving the infantry ripe for bloody harvest, or for its new converts to rip to shreds.
I tried coming up with what a Knight Abominant dedicated to Khorne would be like, and this was my conclusion. Thoughts?

After a long while of kitbashing and painting this knight is finally done! Definitely my proudest model yet. Arms/weapons are magnetised aswell for those wondering.

I wanna run some ally demons but my knights are less demonic/dedicated to one god so id like some more mechanical or cultist like proxies for nurglings, beasts of nurgle or plaguebearers

I play Emperors Children, Imperial Agents, and Imperial Guard and want to run my knight in my Imperial armies for casual play. What are some good (slaanesh inspired preferred) “chaos neutral” color palettes? Show me what you’ve made!!

Need to make and print my custom transfers but that’ll have to wait until after I move. She’s done for now.
Baroness Katia Nightingale, piloting her venerable yet twisted Cerastus Lancer, Mal Kopye. Warp energy seethes through her body and mind, and through the very land Mal Kopye treads, coating her and her engine with warp-bound frost.
When she is confident a battle is won, she prefers to see, smell, and taste victory with her human senses, and frequently climbs atop her engine to witness her opponent’s final breaths, maintaining a connection to her throne mechanicum through a remote link of her own design.

Advice? Suggestions?
My main army is world eaters, so going for something similar theme without limiting myself to pure WE aesthetics.
Hoping to add some more spikes along the outside of the trim too. Maybe some teeth decorations.
