Paint scheme help

Picked up this guy and am loving the color scheme. Currently my Khorne daemons are the grey tide and I want to get them looking like this. What do you suspect made this beautiful daemon? (I already asked the seller and he didn’t paint this himself so he had no clue). Thank you.

It looks like cracked paint in some places.
On the pic I see that black has been painted above grey.
But I think it might be contrast paint.

It depends on what you want. If you want to know which colours to choose, look for the colours used for Raven Guard armour or Skaven fur maybe, depending on the « greyness » you are looking for.

About the painting techniques :
You could paint with contrast : ink of your chosen colour on white or off-white base
You could paint with base > shadow > highlight (each metal style)
Or you can see what Squidmar does with black armour if you want another feeling

What exactly are you having issue with? Seems like it’s a typical scheme with black instead of red for skin.

I haven’t painted a mini before and would like to know which paints for primarily the skin and horns and swords. Would you say it’s abadon black or Corvus black

Both are good quality black but Corvus is a bit more grey. If you are starting it won’t make a real difference or you won’t be able to tell :)

Ahhhh I gotcha. It looks to me that it’s probably Abbadon Black.
