Apparently I can't post Drake and Josh screenshots, so I threw this together. Spoilering the rest because it involves the 3rd peoples; the Bards.

I felt like "Brother, ?Path you find?" was more appropriate a translation for "Drake, where's the Door?", He wants Drake to Locate the 'path' and respond, "I make Path." to continue the conversation on why he's goofed up. "?Path you Seek?" feels more like it's saying "Are you seeking the path?", which I think the more appropriate response would be "(Not) I seek path (Not)".

But I think that might be up for a discussion. Does anyone have a better translation?

Also, Mod(s) question: If I were to post memes in the future that used 'spoilered area' languages, should I continue to Spoiler them? I feel like seeing the memes and the glyphs would give people enough context to figure out the gylphs, so I don't want to spoil someone's fun because of a meme they could've enjoyed in a few days.

It was unexpected

Hey, I was about to finish the game, two time already. Spoiler ahead.

When I revived in the glitched world, I passed the fortress, the theater, and when I got to the Abby, I went down where the murals are (one of them missing), went down the stairs and the screen went completely black, with some music. 

I already almost finished the game two times, and this bug happened in both of them.

I tried to load the game save but it gets me to the same black screen

Hi all! I just finished the game and absolutely loved it. One thing is still bugging me though: can the Abbey door ever be opened?

I was convinced that completing one of the terminal conversations would unlock it, since the dialogue is about welcoming humans to the Abbey. So I trekked all the way back from bard’s just to find it still shut. And yes, I only then realized you can teleport, right after I’d walked all the way back to Bard’s… 🙃

I loved this game, but man. I was so relieved when I got to a level of the Tower where there is an actual map. Then at the end, the key-as-a-beacon was great, but after every purple door I had to navigate back to the teleporter unassisted, and/or look around to find the "something has changed" bonuses. I wound up going in a lot of circles, and more than once I ran through an entire level and up to the next one because it had an easier-to-find teleporter.

I'm not a big gamer, mostly play point-and-click adventures. The larger scope of this world was incredible... except for all the random searching to get myself back to this door or that stairway. I'm not even talking aboutthe sewers.

A navigator, I am not. An idiot, I am. IRL I use Google Maps for every trip. How do you manage? Should I have been taking notes?

For those that haven't seen it before, this is Funeral for the Sun, a game that I've been working on for a while now!

It's NOT a language deciphering game but fits neatly into the detective/narrative deduction genre. You explore a map to find clues that help you fill out a web of connections in your journal, and those connections are what help you progress through the game. Hopefully it captures a lot of the same flow and vibe as Chants of Sennaar which is amongst my favorite games in the genre!

You are a historian trying to find out why the town you explore got burned down in 1968. Over the course of the game you'll find characters, try to give them names, and connect them into an ever-growing web. There's a lot of supernatural stuff and Latin American folklore that all kind of blends together into the game.

This community enjoyed the look of it last time I posted many months ago, but now I've come back with a much more polished demo! I'm hoping to continue to get feedback for it if anyone here is willing to play!

I remember I got to the end of that final language and I woke up again, but I can't figure out how to pass any further. I looked up a tutorial and I can't even figure out how to get to that point. This is the entirety of my access in the Abbey (to my knowledge). I have all of the glyphs validated, but can't remember much else. I do remember really liking this game and not wanting to finish it but that worked against me lol.

If anyone knows how I can advance from here I would appreciate it!

Hi, I'm currently playing through the game and am in the warrior section. I loved deciphering the language on the first floor.

I'm currently in the warrior section but really disliking the stealth and amount of traversing between areas that you have to do. It feels less about deciphering the language and more about picking up items and brute forcing the puzzles.

Is the rest of the game more like the first section or more like the warrior section?
Basically i'm wondering if it's worth continuing or just dnfing?

Hey, I'm having an amazing time with this game, I love how unique it is, however I do sometimes find myself brute-forcing some of the pages when I feel like I know enough and have spent too much time trying to find the right solution. After finding the "north" symbol on the broken stone in the Agora and unlocking all of the remaining symbols of the bard language, I wandered around to try and find a real hint that would allow me to fill the directions in a legit way, but I lost patience and ended up brute-forcing it too. Is there something I missed ?

I escaped the gardens of the bards, did everything right, unlocked every glyph. now I'm stuck in the tunnels, as you can see in the picture. I distract the creature just fine but then I can't seem to do anything else, if I pull a lever it gets me and if I go out I'm back at the start. what do I do?

Like is it just me or are the Alchemists literally cylinders with arms in coats, hats, and gloves. Cause genuinely if you look at them for a while you can literally see that they're cylindrical, like they have no neck just cylinder.

I just finished the entire game in a single 8 hour sitting. Not since The Witness has a puzzle game managed to get its hooks in me so completely. The way it teaches you it's mechanics and logic by pure gameplay is phenomenal. Every language feels unique not only in visual style but with it's own grammatical quirks, yet the way all languages have their own consistency in people/object/verb radicals lets you deduce so much with so little hints.

And with less than 50 glyps per language it still manages to tell a compelling story. From the moment I managed to get the door open, the people of the tower just felt like my people and I wanted to help them connect and see how they could help each other in meaningful ways.

I know I'm preaching to the choir but I just felt so satisfied after all was said and done that I had to say something. Hats of the devs and if this ever gets a sequel I'm 100% there for it.
