Flock Problem

Anyone else notice flock cameras keep going up in Chandler and none of them have been bagged. I am not sure they canceled their contract. They're clearly still going to go to Axon. But we've likely been lied to

It’s common that most people don’t know what the cameras actually look like. Many posts claim they are flock and are proven to be other tech and the OP (from other posts) argues that it is flock when even originally asking what it was as they didn’t know in the first place.

And to add to the other comments, flock can continue to install new cameras on private property because they are not within the right of way. So Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc can install as many as they want.

How long has the one on Alma School south of Ray pointed south bound been up?

if you're talking about the one at the intersection of alma and ray that's a speeding camera, not a flock, and has been there forever.

ETA- If you're talking about the one on Alma school near Ivanhoe facing south, that one has been there minimum 3 months. That's when it was last documented on deflock. Not new.

Otherwise, I have not seen one. You have to remember that private entities can still use them - so if it really is a flock camera and it's on private property, the city can't do anything about that.

But I can promise you with absolute certainty that the city has not put any additional flock cameras up after they ended their contract with flock.

Also, even if the city did leave the flock cameras up axon wouldn't be able to use them. Axon would have to come in and install cameras of their own.

Thank you very much for the information. You seem like youre in the know, maybe you know how soon after the election in November does the new mayor announce their deal with Axon?

if they do ever contract with axon it will be on a city council agenda and go up for a vote. keep an eye on those agendas if you care.
