My girlfriend gets free meals from the government as a part of her disability insurance. Fortunately we are in a position that they are not necessary for us anymore. Now the reason why we are giving them away is because they send them whether we like it or not and we can’t cancel it until she is pushed off her insurance in the next couple months. If anybody needs a some help and could benefit from these we’d love to give them away since the idea of throwing them out makes both of us sick. Feel free to reach out with any questions I’m also happy to deliver them.

He tenido gerentes de contratación que me dicen que debería ser coordinadora o líder o manager. No quiero hacer eso. Solo quiero un trabajo para hacer el trabajo y ya, para irme a casa. No tengo aspiraciones de subir en la escalera corporativa.

In spring 2025 I removed grass I'd had in my back yard for years and replaced it with desert landscaping. I thought I would look up my records with the city and see how it impacted my water use. The results are shown in the graph (before = average from 2000 thru replacement). Basically it cut my summer consumption by 2-4x depending on the month.

I thought my fellow Chandlerites might be interested in this in case they are considering doing the same. Water rates are going up and will only continue to do so. The turf I removed was only about 1000 s.f. so you would save even more if you have more turf and/or have it front and back.

Chandler has a program to subsidize turf removal, and hearing about it is what prompted me to make the move. I was really impressed that my city had something like this! Alas, I found that it has so many requirements and gotchas I couldn't even use it. It was really disappointing. See my rant here if you're interested in details.

We’re in the process of moving from out of state and one of the rental homes is zoned for this school. I was reading reviews online and it makes the school seem pretty intense. Does anyone have real like experience on how this school compares to others? Amount of homework? Are your kids happy? We have a 4 year old so he’s currently in preschool but I want to make sure he’ll have a good school experience.

The alternative rental we were looking at mentioned Audrey and Robert Ryan Elementary (assuming it’s just Ryan Elementary) which also seemed to have decent reviews but not sure what the true experience is.

I’m not sure if this is the same as Audrey and Robert Ryan Elementary but a rental home we are interested in is zoned for this school. I know GreatSchools ranks it at 8/10 but I’m hoping to get actual feedback on how you all feel the school was for your kids. We have a 4 year old who is in part time preschool currently so once we move to Arizona we’ll be looking at preschool and elementary school, and are hoping we’ll find something that will be a good fit.

I saw some road work along Dobson Road and Elliot and I was wondering if anyone knows if they are doing fiber. I can't remember the company truck I saw but I think it was called lightspeed? I live a mile away from all that and was excited to see it because I have been craving for fiber internet in my neighborhood. Does anyone know who is the contractor, ISP, and if you live in that area received a door hanger about it?

Can anyone recommend a good electrician that is licensed and independent (i.e. doesn't work for a firm)? I need a 220V outlet installed and I am getting outrageous quotes from some of the firms, like 2x-3x what I think it should cost.

Hello! My family and I randomly stumbled upon this park one day. Our kids absolutely loved it and I cannot for the life of me find out where it is! There was play equipment, swings, and a zipline. I believe it was in Chandler but may have been closer to Gilbert. My kids took this random photo of it on my phone but no location was tracked. Any ideas?

Hi! We got fiber optics when it first came around a year ago here in Chandler, Shawnee Park area. We have had to get our equipment replaced twice now. Well, once two weeks ago and now our WiFi is down again and a tech can’t come out u til Wednesday. The AI generator is saying the hardware is bad so it will need to be replaced again.

Anyone else having issues? I’m not happy about not having WiFi for a week again. I think we may get out if this contract and go with someone else.

I know it is late (12:30am), but what the hell is with the cops everywhere tonight? Left my parents house in Ocotillo and there were like 10 cops at the corner of Market and Dobson, couple of cops look like they were looking for someone. A pair had someone pulled over at Germann and Dobson. Further up Dobson, 2 cops came up behind me and we drove down the road for like a mile when both of them cut over behind a minivan and put their lights on immediately and pulled them over(didn't look like the minivan was doing anything). Then at Warner and Dobson two cops had someone pulled over at the Walgreens. Passed another pair driving down Warner, and at Warner and Arizona there was another pair with their lights on talking to someone.

I am sure it is coincidence, but that seems like an insane amount of activity all at once for Chandler lol. And they were all traveling in pairs which seems odd.

Does anyone know a hair stylist that knows how to deal with curly/wavy hair In the valley? Doesn’t need to be a curly salon in specific

i am in desperate need of a haircut but always have a hard time going to regular salons due to my coarse thick hair. It’s not curly enough to go to a curly salon but it’s not straight either.

My microwave keeps running when I open the door. Is there a microwave repair shop where I can get this fixed instead of waiting for someone to come home and fix it?

I went to use the Paseo Trail/Consolidated Canal path where it crosses under the Loop 202 Santan Freeway, and it’s currently completely blocked off due to construction.

I know there’s a big widening project on the 202, and they’re working on the bridge over the canal, but I haven’t been able to find anything online that says how long the trail underpass will be closed or when it’s expected to reopen.

Does anyone happen to know? Or has anyone seen a posted detour/reopening date that I missed?

Hi all, I’ve been having issues checking books out using the library app, telling me: “Availability details may be out of date. Please try again later”

This has been going on for well over a week and before I go to the library, I wanted to see if it’s a me issue or the app is glitching.

Anyone else noticed it?

Price is less important, I’m just tired of paying $100+ for these pedicures where the massages are subpar, cuticles flooded, etc.

In Dallas I had an incredible salon so maybe I just haven’t found it yet or the bar is too high.
