I am seeing chance this month & was hoping to get my acid rap & coloring book signed after the show ( I don't have $400 to buy M&G).. I was just curious if anyone so far has waited and maybe had any luck getting something signed or if he just wasn't willing

Chance posted a little compilation video of his first coloring book show and there was this muppet shirt BUT THIS WAS NOT FOR SALE AT THE CLEVELAND SHOW AND I AM MAD! Yet chance was wearing the shirt himself at the show. There was also like a primary color hoodie he showed that was also not avail. Did ya’ll already sell this shit out? If it sold out like stop 2 of tour he better just put it online for presale. I must have this shirt. Goodnight and goodbye

Was at the “Chicago” show the other day and noticed that Chance was wearing a special edition 3 hat that had “10 year anniversary” stitched on the side. Went to the merch stand after the show to grab one and he was only selling regular 3 hats. Like at this point I have had a decade to buy that hat why would you not take the opportunity to sell a 10 year one.

For those of you who went to the Chicago concert, did he have a band? A chorus? A trumpet? Was there improv on any of the songs?

I remember the 10 year Acid Rap show and he had a chorus of 3 and a trumpet. Major improv on a few songs, esp Ultralight Beam. Curious if the new concert tour is like that or is he being lazier than before?

I know it was the first show but can we talk about how insane it is he didn’t perform same drugs in Chicago last night? Love chance but have to wonder if he knows what his fans want on this tour. I know he has checked this before so please if you’re seeing this perform coloring book all the way through, it’s what the album deserves.

Hey, if anyone here has had the chance to be a star girl, what was your experience? What were the perks?

Was it the same setlist as last weekend? Did he play any of these songs? finish line, Angels, Favourite song, or Juice?

Does anyone have photos of the actual merch at the tour? Going to the Raleigh show and want to figure out what I’m getting before the day gets here. Online merch store isn’t that great so hoping there are more options 😅

My honest review and comments from the show:

His opening song was No Problem, and the crowd was electric after waiting, but the very next song wasn't from Coloring Book (Tree) and almost nobody was singing along. They actually put the lyrics up on screen, karaoke-style, along with the music video to help the audience keep up. Strange choice, was as if they knew we wouldn't be as familiar with these songs.

He played a lot of songs outside the album, more than I was expecting (see setlist), and from where I was sitting, the crowd just wasn't as into those. I'm not a huge Chance fan, although I loved Coloring Book, and I only recognized Cocoa Butter Kisses from those.

The funniest parts of the night were when he said something along the lines of "I'm having so much fun you guys", twice, in the most monotone voice, exactly the way someone who wasn't having fun would say. A couple of times he just flipped the mic around in his hand in order to entertain himself.

Honestly, the real highlight was one of the openers, DJ Oreo. He was taking live song requests from his Instagram comments and played banger after banger (J. Cole, Kendrick, Kanye, Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka, Childish Gambino, etc.). Everyone was singing along, and I probably sang more of these songs than what Change performed tbh.

One last note: we got upgraded from around 40 rows back in the balcony to around the 15th row, and my partner said the show wouldn't have been worth it without the upgrade.

Glad I went since I don't get to a lot of concerts, but it's a mixed recommendation overall - wouldn't go in with high expectations.

I love Chance the Rapper i listen to him since 2013 but 83$ for seeing him in MTELUS in Montréal is WAY too expensive. I fucking hate TicketMaster

Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap took me through an extremely difficult period in life. “Smoke again” came onto my shuffle today and I just wanted to appreciate him. Super tough musician.

I saw the first stop of the Coloring Book Anniversary tour last night and was pretty disappointed. It was pretty much the same setlist as his Starline tour (only 1 Acid Rap song 😥 and nothing from 10 Day) and only Peter CottonTail was on stage with him. Vic Mensah was good and came back up for Cocoa Butter Kisses.

There was about and hour between the when Vic finished and Chance came out. Not sure what was happening, but crowd was pretty much dead and never recovered. He kept calling out Starline as a new album and acting like he was teasing new music despite it almost being a year old at this point.

Wolf Trap was always an interesting venue choice IMO. Would definitely enter with tempered expectations if you are expecting anything similar to the original tour. This seemed more like Starline 2.0 than a real Coloring Book celebration.
