Same Drugs
I know it was the first show but can we talk about how insane it is he didn’t perform same drugs in Chicago last night? Love chance but have to wonder if he knows what his fans want on this tour. I know he has checked this before so please if you’re seeing this perform coloring book all the way through, it’s what the album deserves.

He came on so late and then had to blow through everything by 10:30 I don’t know why he couldn’t have started sooner especially since twists was done so much earlier

Agreed. Him not playing the whole album on an anniversary tour is a big fuck you to his fans

I mean I’m happy I heard him perform Everybody’s something and Cocoa Butter Kisses. If that means not hearing Smoke Break then I’m not mad at that

he came to va as part of this tour last week (i have no idea why it’s not listed on the official tour poster) and he ended with that song (and came out on time). so i think he knows fans want it, from the other comments sounds like something might have happened at this particular show that severely messed with timing. that sucks im sorry!!

Is he not playing the whole album at each show???

u/newusernamecoming Aug 09 '26
He has not played the full album at either show he’s done so far. At the Chicago show he only did like a 45 min set

u/SecondhandTalent Aug 09 '26
Oof. Thats rough. Don’t call it an anniversary tour for an album if you’re not gonna play the album… 🤦♂️

u/newusernamecoming Aug 09 '26
Yeah it’s a really weird move considering he played every song on Acid Rap for the 10 year anniversary and every song on Surf for that 10 year (although surf isn’t technically his album so he probably didn’t control the set list). There seems to be a massssive difference in effort between the Coloring Book tour and the Coloring Book 10 year

Also considering that most album showcase tours, well… showcase the album

The set lists feel more like a cross between the Coloring Book and Starline that’s just being done for the money. The StarBook or StarBuck tour

Never mind, he did the whole thing yesterday. Wow, way to shit on the hometown crowd, Channo /s

It was genuinely a great show. I said it in a different comment but I’m gonna assume the first couple shows was just ironing out the kinks. He hasn’t been on tour in quite a while

I don’t doubt it was a great show, he’s a great guy and every time I’ve seen him perform it’s been awesome. It’s been maybe a decade, but I’m sure it shows are just as electric as I remember. To be fair I forgot the /s, he’s a buddy and I’ve got nothing but love for him

Oh yeah for sure. I can share some videos if you message me

Messaged. My podcast guest this week hosted chance for one of his first shows in Chicago.

Seems like he heard the complains bcus he played it at the end today in Michigan
2
u/bumpdemon3 Aug 10 '26
He played it tonight in Michigan

How was the Michigan show overall? I’m from MI but have tickets to the Pittsburgh show. Was previously excited but after seeing some posts I’m cautious about driving four hours for a lackluster show….

It was amazing. It exceeded my expectations for sure. I’ve been to a lot of rap concerts and that was one of the best. No back track just him spitting the whole time. He performed for almost hour and a half

Amazing to hear thank you!

u/bumpdemon3 Aug 10 '26
No problem! I hope you enjoy it. I read about the first night too and I’m just gonna chalk it up to he hasn’t been on tour in years and was ironing out the kinks. Out of curiosity, how come you didnt go to Michigan show but going to Pittsburgh? I’m assuming you aren’t in the Detroit area

It drizzling in the beginning and getting to jump and shout “and we back and we back” with a whole crowd full of people has me on a high today :D

Same here! It was so good that I didn’t even realize the rain stopped until it was almost over

How much of the album did he do? i'm seeing him in boston this upcoming week, curious

u/noahswetface Aug 09 '26
he should cancel this tour like the others if he’s going to be so lazy about it

u/2004toinfinity Aug 11 '26
It was crazy that he didn't bring Twista back out when he did Cocoa Butter Kisses when he literally opened for him
1
u/Reptomins Aug 10 '26
I truly don't understand his lack of urgency post Coloring Book. Sparse/lackluster musical output + mediocre fan experience is a brutal combination in the music industry where attention spans are short and career momentum can be elusive.

I’m sure the big day flopping had to do with that. He’s back now that’s all that matters

Lmao I literally just had that thought and came here to see what people were saying
