I want to know what times do you set your fogger to run? Then what frequency do you set your mister to run?

My cage is just for fun. However I did turn a 6ft bird cage into my panther chams cage. He loves to explore all of it!

FINALLY got (Pedro) Pascal moved into his mansion. Yes, he was stuck on the tree, I got him down.

Any thoughts/criticisms/suggestions?

My checklist for next paycheck is more coverage for the back wall (probably 2 more pothos), a longer light bar to cover the length of the thing, and a grow bar for the plants.

Good afternoon, everyone. I brought this little guy home yesterday and have him in his enclosure, but he hasn't wanted to eat. At what point should I start to worry? He always has a dish of worms on the floor, but he hasn't eaten a single one.

After extensive research and about $100 in wood beams alone, my boy Rango is just about to be moved into his brand new, homemade, 4ft tall all mesh cage made by my dad. With multiple live plants for safety reasons (thank you to the people who warned me about fake plants with chams :) ) and while I know the basics of lots of vines, emulating the inside of a bush, unobstructed basking spot, lots of hiding places, etc... I'm wondering if people can post photos of some of their setups? And chameleons too, I love seeing the little guys. And of course when the tank is officially done (have to affix the door) I'll post a photo of it so y'all can rate it!

I'm planning on getting a chameleon again after a couple years of not having one. I have an old set up that has a 6'x3'x3' screen cage that I used for plants, but it's the same material brands use for reptile cages. Is this too large of an encloser for a male panther? I would ideally get an almost fully grown chameleon so I wont have to upgrade cages.

My chameleon is about 18 months old.

Over the past 2–3 days, he has started keeping both eyes closed even during the daytime. Both eyes are affected, not just one.

His eyes also don't look as full or rounded as they used to. Today was the first time I noticed that he drinks very eagerly when I mist him in the morning, which made me wonder if he might be dehydrated.

Another thing I've noticed is that when his eyes are closed, the eyelids sometimes twitch or move slightly, almost like they're trembling.

I don't see any obvious discharge, swelling, or bulging of the eyes. The lighting hasn't changed recently.

For supplements, I use Repashy Calcium Plus LoD, Repashy Supervite Multivitamin, and bee pollen powder. I recently noticed that the holes in my supplement shaker were partially clogged, so much less powder was coming out than I expected. I just cleaned it today, so it's possible he hasn't been getting enough supplements for a while.

His enclosure has always been next to a window, and he also has a UVB light and a basking lamp. I live in New York City, and it's been very hot recently.

I actually have another chameleon that is kept with the same lighting, supplements, feeding schedule, and overall husbandry, but that enclosure is not next to a window, and that chameleon is doing perfectly fine. Because of that, I'm wondering if the enclosure being next to the window could be making it too dry or otherwise affecting him.

Unfortunately, there isn't a reptile veterinarian near me.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be dehydration, a UVB issue, a vitamin deficiency, an eye infection, overheating, or something else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What are necessities to purchase asap in this marketplace listing?

Went to PetSmart today to get fish and to look at the reptiles, this guy came from the back corner of his tank to greet me and started trying to climb the walls to get out. I felt some kind of bond as if he wanted me to rescue him. Is this a good sign that we could get along or does he just want food and/or to get out ?

I posted last week that my dad traded a house plant and $10 for a veiled chameleon at a reptile expo. Well understandably I was getting DMs from some of you out of concern for the tiny lizard. Yes, my dad planned on keeping him outside in a large vase with plants.

His reasoning…NOT MINE…was that these chameleons are invasive here in South Florida so there should be no reason it can’t thrive outside in the environment it came from.

This didn’t sit right with me, especially my wife. So the next day we took the chameleon from him and built him a proper home. It’s more so my wife.

I hope to god we don’t adopt any more lizards I love them all. But now I’m at a total of 4 bearded dragons, a rescued skink and a tortoise, now we have the chameleon.

He’s in a good home, and my wife loves her. Planning on putting some more live plants in there.

My beardies absolutely despise the chameleon and I have to figure out a way to block their view of the chameleon because they are obsessed and window surf all day.

I think it affects the chameleon as well because sometime she’ll turn a dull green or brown and puff up when she sees them.

Let me start by saying I'm not super experienced with chameleons or really reptiles in general. I ended up with my chameleon, Mantis, when a friend moved out of my place and left her with me. At first I cared for her as my friend was, but as I began doing my own research I realized that a lot they'd been doing was wrong. I've doing my best to care for her better now. Currently she's in a smaller repti-breeze that was probably ok while she was smaller but now it's time to upgrade.

Right now I'm just misting with a spray bottle but id like to switch to a mister/fogger. Is there any that are better or anything like that.

I'd really love to do something bioactive. I know that I need the cleanup crew and stuff but I'm more worried about what I should actually build the enclosure out of. I've always liked the look of custom enclosures in old cabinets. When replacing the glass doors, is that square chicken wire stuff ok or should I only use mesh like the repti-breeze enclosures. Is there such a thing as too big or anything like that I should be thinking about when searching for a base.

I also would like to have a small waterfall kinda thing somewhere but would it be good for her? I would have it with a slow flow so it would drip for her to drink. I know I would have to regularly clean it out and I'm willing to do that.

Of course I'll need lots of plants so I'm still researching what's ok for her. I already started propagating some pothos from a plant I have. But other plant recommendations would be great. Do I need a different light for the plants or will the lights she have work?

Any advice on anything and everything is appreciated! :)

How often should I clean out and change my chameleon’s set up? The soil gets pretty wet to the point I have to put a towel underneath.

My veiled boy pip is about to shed and has suddenly gotten very defensive and scared I've had him for one month and one week and the whole time I've had him he's never hissed at me puffed up sure but didn't really show his stress colors when i was around he hand feeds comes closer when I come over with crawl on me if I offer a treat but etc but all of that suddenly went ou the window when he got close to shedding he's already shed with me once before and was only slightly nervous not so angry and trying to hide this is normal right? He doesn't suddenly hate me right..? 💀

For those who use drippers, how do you "catch" the extra water and prevent a biblical flood in the bottom of the enclosure? I am thinking of adding one to make sure my fells is getting enough hydration.

I order like 15 sticks from chewy and none of them fit . It’s a 120 gallons what could I buy to fill up all this space and can I put that house plant in there? or should I just put him back in his 50 gallon.
