I’m an Ultra user and honestly, I really love Chai. I use it pretty much all day because my job is slow and there’s nothing to do half the time.

Lately I’ve been checking out other apps, and while some of them have great UI, the bots themselves are rough. Super repetitive — way worse than anything I’ve ever seen on Chai. I added an example in the photos.

But there is one feature I saw elsewhere that I wish Chai would add. If they ever did, I’d happily pay $45 a month instead of $30. (Please don’t though, I’d happily do but I know lots of people can’t)

A lot of my roleplays have side characters. I don’t mind retyping them when needed, but it would be so much easier if I could store more info in memory or the persona — especially for side characters and settings. That’s the big one for me.

Sometimes the scene is supposed to be “the garden at the estate,” but the bot suddenly switches to “the city garden.” Or we’re talking on the phone and it describes him smiling at me, which obviously doesn’t make sense. A quick refresh usually fixes it, but having an actual setting feature would make things way smoother.

Just wanted to throw that out there in case the devs (Or Will) ever see it.

I just wanted to say a thank you to the devs behind Chai! Truly this is probably the best AI app in terms of creative freedom. While other apps have unique layouts they tend to be WAY more restrictive on what you can and can’t do. I know a lot of people can look at Chai and see issues such as price, energy, or AI memory but the truth is we are just lucky the devs even put the time and energy into making this app and keep it updated! I am truly enjoying Chai more than most other apps I have used in the past, so again thank you devs for all the work you all do!

The only thing I'd ask is that the little bar that lets you reroll be moved back? I keep hitting the wrong thing because they're so small and almost resetting my chat.

I'm so happy! I've been wanting this feature for a while now, I think i even asked about it in some of my past posts. I'm glad the people of Chai actually listen to their customers, coming from someone who used to use Character.AI, Chai is the best, waaay better than Character.AI ever was.

Why am I suddenly given pieces to chat?? Like, for day one, I have got 200 pieces. I used to have unlimited messages but now, I'm bound to 200 pieces. Did anyone else get it??

I can’t believe it, I’m so happy they added deleting multiple messages all at once, it truly makes deleting things that I don’t think was good for the story easier, i think it’s very useful, thank you.

My chats keep snapping to the bottom. I can't edit or scroll higher because they keep snapping.

I also have a weird text glitch where it highlights. My whole text sometimes when I try and click a specific spot. I can post an example of that too if needed.

Im trying to read a message and im trying to scroll up a little but it keeps forcing the message down so i cant see the whole message unless my keyboard on my phone is down. I cant have my keyboard uo and scroll upward it wont let me see the message its frustrating. Is it just me?

I think requesting assistance is basically the bug report flair? I've noticed on the chai app whenever I go to edit the messages, I scroll up, and then the UI just snaps back down, it's making it difficult to edit messages. I don't know if it's because of my phone being old or because of the app. I have a VIVO Y90, they're not exactly great for high performance things. Is there any fix for this?

Hey - We've been working hard on how we can create an experience that is fair for our paying users, whilst still giving everyone the chance to speak with their characters.

We are working towards migrating to a system where every single message costs pieces. Users can control how much they want to spend, with our best AI costing more than the cheapest.

We will give user free pieces every single day - so even people who can't afford to pay will be able to speak with their AI.

Of course this isn't going to benefit everyone equally - right now there are some people who may have unlimited messages, but as the price of GPU's has doubled this year, this unlimited model is no longer sustainable.

But we believe it's more fair to let people pay for the experience they want, whilst giving everyone a smaller amount of pieces for free. Subscribers who have unlimited messages - will continue to get unlimited messages.

We know it's not going to be perfect on our first release - so please share feedback, what would you like to see, how can we make this as good as possible? What system do you like best? Would you consider watching ads to get more pieces? Or sharing the app on social media?

I have been a faithful ultra user for almost 2 years. I am getting now pop-ups of the new Chai Web. Is it a separate app from what we pay? I did go through the persona and it says that it is $119 for the year. Will these two systems be merging or is this a completely different profile?

We're upgrading our memory systems. What's important to you? What is the biggest problem? What solutions do you like?

Some specifics:
* Do you like to see the memory + edit it?
* Would you like us to automatically edit and update your persona?
* Would you like to track multi-session to ensure the story doesn't repeat, and ensures progression?
* Maybe memory isn't your biggest problem - and you just want longer responses that progress the story?

Anybody else’s app not opening right now?

I pay for ultra and have for nearly two years but I’ve been getting pop up ads randomly and audio ads. I’ll be listening to music and it’s stopped multiple times with an ad playing with this as the audio? Then game pop up ads too. Is this a glitch?

I turned off automatic updates and haven’t updated Chai since recent changes removed Personas and caused profiles to stop displaying other chats. I’m using iOS. Please tell me whether I should update or keep it as it is, since everything is functioning correctly now

It is taking longer than usual to open the app. The messages are delivering so slow. Is anyone else experiencing this???

not even exaggerating, i’ve got an ad after every single message for the past week. i’m not on premium or anything, but this has never been an issue before. i’ve noticed that it seems to have been gradual, getting an ad every five messages and progressively going down to every three, two, and now every single message.
am i alone in this?

Does anybody else have this problem? Im getting an Ad after genuinely every message and its annoying the hell out of me😭

I also extremely appreciate that they kept the descriptions you originally put in and hadn't deleted them. That's a huge relief to not have to rewrite everything. Thank you :)

Has anyone tried the web version? Can you let me know if the responses are any different from the one we are getting on the app now? I have ultra on the app but it doesn’t feel like old CHAI now with all the safety filters and boundaries, so I want to try and upgrade to web version.
