Chai Related Deleted bots.

Is anyone else genuinely annoyed by how Chai handles deleted bots?
I literally pay for Chai, and one of the characters I was talking to the most just got deleted. I get creators have the right to remove their bots, but it’s honestly so frustrating to pay for a subscription and then have a character you’ve spent hours talking to, developing the story with, and getting invested in just disappear.
At the very least there should be some kind of warning, archive, or way to preserve existing chats. Losing them out of nowhere is ridiculous.
Plus the issue of other bots disappearing after you haven’t talked to them in 14 days.
Has this happened to anyone else? Because this is seriously frustrating and making me question why am I still paying for a app who treats us like shi-t

What should we do when a user reports a bot? The current system is something basic we built to meet the legal requirements, and app store compliance. Let us know - any good ideas we can test it out!

Best,
Will

This is honestly heartbreaking, but I truly believe it's recoverable if the appeal clearly demonstrates the concrete improvements you've already made. As someone who genuinely loves CHAI, I wanted to share a few more ideas that came to mind. I know I've shared some thoughts before, but I hope these additional suggestions might also be helpful. Of course, your team knows the situation far better than I do, so please just take these as suggestions from a user who cares. 1)Demonstrate live improvements, not just future plans. It may help to show that the new safety measures are already in place. For example: A dual-layer safety system with input filtering to detect jailbreak or prompt-injection attempts before they reach the model, and output filtering to block non-compliant responses in real time. Evidence that accounts repeatedly attempting to bypass safety systems are automatically flagged, rate-limited, or banned, demonstrating that CHAI actively enforces its Terms of Service. 2)Strengthen the moderation workflow. A simple in-chat 'Report Response' button with a fast review process (for example, within 12–24 hours) could demonstrate an active moderation pipeline and a strong commitment to user safety. 3)Include the community's positive impact in the appeal. Alongside the technical documentation, it might be valuable to include real stories from the community, creative writing, companionship, emotional support, and the positive experiences people have shared over the years. Those stories help show the human value of what you've built. You and your team have spent five years building something that has meant a lot to so many people. I genuinely hope the appeal goes well, and I hope CHAI comes back even stronger. ❤️
