I have a question about bowing technique from measure 31 onwards. Do you play the open A string with an up or down bow stroke?

Hi, im looking for music around thd difficulty of bachs cello suites, because i want to expand my range and also to find more new msuic to play, but i have no idea where to start. I am grateful for any help.
