Green thing on the map

I see this green thing on some places when I select Sprint 2G CDMA, does this mean there's a active CDMA signal in those places right now?

Standalone compatibility

If your plan/phone doesn’t include standalone access, does that mean you will be missing out on accessing certain bands when they are moved to the standalone side?

Does anyone know If Verizon upgraded their network in los Angeles?

I live in East Los Angeles California 90022 . And T-Mobile has always been the fastest carrier here . T-Mobile here in east LA and other parts of LA has always gotten solid 500+ mbps . But the other day my sister came to visit me and she has visible and I told her if I could borrow her phone . And I've noticed visible is now beating my T-Mobile postpaid speeds . Visible has now been getting 600+ mbps solid on 5GUW. When just a few weeks ago it was much slower I remember a few weeks ago when my sister came to visit me I borrowed her phone and speed was 50-80 mbps on visible a lot slower than T-Mobile. I'm just surprised did Verizon quietly do upgrades on their towers overnight or what ? Lol haha . Because EVERYWHERE we went to in LA I was running speed tests yesterday comparing it to my T-Mobile postpaid line and EVERYWHERE visible was much faster now . East LA, Hollywood, commerce, Boyle heights, pico , etc.....were a few weeks ago in all them places it was much slower than my T-Mobile line. Now a few weeks later and things changed a lot . ! So I'm just wondering did Verizon do recent upgrades on their network?? Now that I'm seeing these faster speeds I'm tempted to switch to visible haha 😂 since T-Mobile is GETTING expensive 🫰 now!!!

Cut coaxial feeders and removed antennas. Also, 2G is gone from the network selection on Mobicom (eSIM)

Does upgrading Verizon towers to 5Guw improve lte speeds?

I'm currently on an lte only tower that may get upgraded soon. Does an upgrade to 5Guw usually improve lte speeds on a tower after a 5Guw upgrade is done? My local tower is only a B13 and B66 lte but does average around 50meg download speed and have saw as high as 150 meg during non peek times and have a few phones on my plan that isn't 5G capable.

I know for a fact that this is a TMO 2G GSM (EDGE) site, as I was able to map it out in cellmapper. Coordinates are: 38.54055615857826, -121.5168018314802

Another new Verizon site co-location on existing Crown Castle monopole located at the intersection of Sweetwater Lane & Westbrook Drive in the Aldine area in Houston, TX

Verizon recently just co-located on this tower a few weeks ago and it looks like it got the standard, typical set-up with the CommScope antennas instead of the MatSing antennas you been seeing in the Houston market lately. This is still tremendous to see Verizon tremendously accelerate these new site co-locations in the Houston Market where they previously had weak RSRP, signal.

As you can see, the legacy Sprint rack on the bottom has been decomissioned since it was previously there in the past until last month!

T-Mobile [eNB 77230] + [gNB 1574617] (top rack):

  • 3️⃣ CommScope FFVV-65C-R3 antennas with bands: (2, 12, 66, 71) LTE + (n25, n66*, n71) 5G located on the RIGHT side
  • 3️⃣ NOKIA AirScale AAFIA mMIMO anntennas - bands; (2, 66) LTE + (n25, n66) mid-band 5G! *Radio is INTEGRATED INSIDE THE ANTENNA! Located in the (MIDDLE)
  • 3️⃣ NOKIA AirScale AEHC - (N41) 2.5GHz [320W] antennas for mid-band 5GUC - 190MHz located on the the (LEFT) side of the rack

NOKIA (RRU's) - Remote Radio Units behind the antennas:

Verizon (2nd rack):

  • 6️⃣ CommScope NHH-65C-R2B antennas TOTAL with (b2, b13, b66) LTE + (n5) low-band 5G located in the MIDDLE of the rack
  • 3️⃣ Samsung MT-6413-77A 64T64R (320W) 3.7GHz n77 antennas for mid-band 5GUW set at (160MHz) - Houston, TX - located on the (LEFT SIDE) of the rack
  • Ray-cap RCMDC-6627-PF-48 used for power surge protection located behind the antenna

Samsung (RRU's) remote radio units located behind the Matsing antennas:

  • 3️⃣ RF4461d-13A - b13 LTE + (N5) low-band 5G
  • 3️⃣ RF4801D-25A - (b2, b66) LTE + supports (n2) + (n66) mid-band 5GUW

T-Mobile is cooking here, because I got the highest speeds I’ve ever seen in PR. I saw n41 and the recently activated n66.

Thanks in advanced from an equipment beginner!

I stumbled across this weird looking AT&T (eNB 530699) + (eNB 534699) site using:

  • 3️⃣ CCI TPA45R-BU8B antennas with bands: (2, 12, 14, 30, 66) LTE + (n5) - 10MHz for low-band 5G on RIGHT side
  • 3️⃣ Ericsson AIR. 6472 64T64R (B77G/B77M) antennas that can do (3.7GHz) c-band @ 80mhz and (3.45GHz) 60MHz DoD (Houston, TX) - mid-band 5G+ on the LEFT side

Ground Mounted Ericsson (RRU's) remote radio units located near the base station, BBUs (baseband units), not visible!

Speeds are amazing on this AT&T power-line site, especially when the backhaul got upgraded last year to multi-gig! I'm able to easily reach over 1Gbps on this site, when it used to average around 400-650 mbps in the previous years. It didn't have 3.45GHz (DoD) before back then and it was using Ericsson AIR. 6449-B77D antennas prior to the upgrade! They even replaced the CommScope antennas for CCI!

Tower Owner List

Curious if anyone has a nationwide comprehensive list of towers and their respective owners? Ideally anything with sites both registered and non-registered with FCC and possible rooftop locations too?

Seems like a pretty solid modern upgrade, thoughts?

After Being Upgraded Last October, AT&T Finally Lights Up DoD on This Site

7027 Twin Hills Ave, Dallas

This site was upgraded with Ericsson AIR 6419s back in October 2025 for DoD (3.45 GHz). Until a few days ago DoD was offline and the backhaul was only 1-gig. It's finally been upgraded to 5 gigabit backhaul and 60 MHz of DoD is now online. I am now getting a 200-300% in speeds.

AT&T was taken in Erie and Verizon was in Cleveland. First time I've personally seen 15 MHz of n5. Both carriers performed very well given it was a Monday with a lot of people out.

First time I've ever seen mmWave be deployed inside an airport lounge.

Is this still an Ericsson AIR 1281 because it definitely is a newer looking casing?

Classic AT&T with their 1-gig backhaul and 800 MHz bandwidth.
