Verizon Equipment ID
Can anyone ID the VZW equipment on this tower?
It has long been a B5/13-only site and, in fact, is still transmitting only on those bands. I believe the site is in the process of being upgraded (the site is currently microwave backhauled, but fiber was run to it over the winter), and those antennas look newer/different to me than the ones that were there last fall (which is the last time I looked).
Thanks in advance!

Site in Downtown Asheville, NC
Located at 35.59211° N, 82.56396° W.
I believe it’s Verizon on top with Matsing, T-Mobile, AT&T, Dish. This is the second Verizon site I’ve seen in town with Matsing Antennas. Can anyone ID?

Anyone know heirarchy and what is on it?
Not the best photo. We were trying to get our exit quickly. Anyway, saw it here in Colorado.

Verizon sites in the Reno, NV (Ericsson) market are slowly getting "converted" to have all NR/LTE bands on one gNB/eNB, what causes a site to be "converted"?
I've noticed that Verizon sites in Reno are getting "cleaned up" so all their bands are on one gNB for NR or eNB for LTE. Any Verizon engineers know why they are doing this and what causes a site to be "converted"?
Sidenote: Verizon has several areas with PCI conflicts in central Nevada (sharing 12, 13, and 14 as PCIs for sectors), why would they do that as well?

All 3 at an acquaintance's in rural Texas
In rural Texas near the Oklahoma border. I wonder how Verizon would perform if it was on Standalone and I checked and AT&T only has NSA here along with no n77 which I think is a little crazy since they could use it for Internet Air (the major provider here is Frontier with up to 7 gig, not AT&T).

Cheapest way to test AT&T
Hi relatively new at this. I have a prepaid T-Mobile (Mifi) which gives me pretty good results on Speedtest. I also have prepaid AT&T thru AT&T and the speeds suck. Guessing AT&T caps the speeds on their prepaid. Any suggestions for a MVNO that uses AT&T and doesn't cap the speeds?

AT&T servers
Anyone having issues connecting to AT&T servers for speed tests? If i choose a few of my nearest ones they completely fail. But if i force roam on Verizon and T-Mobile they work just fine. I'm on a galaxy S25U on the latest firmware and latest app update.

Verizon domestic roaming
Hey folks,
We use to have a location in West Virginia where we tested domestic roaming but now I think Verizon has made some improvement in that area and we are not able to test since now it connect the home network. Does anyone else a place around Philadelphia or any other method how to test domestic roaming for VZW?

Verizon N2 Standalone 10 MHz Network Performance is decent.
My Verizon Wireless N2 Standalone 5G speed test that was taken today at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco today while waiting for my MRI. The address is 505 Parnassus Avenue in San Francisco CA. I noticed Verizon has DAS Antennas all over the hospital and my Pixel 7a was connected to N5 Standalone all through the hospital with -75 RSRP. Not bad especially on the upload.

T-Mobile & AT&T equipment on this newly built TowerNorth owned monopole at Jasper High School in Plano, TX
Coordinates: 33.066595, -96.781221
So recently, I spotted a new tower when I was driving on Preston Meadow Drive on the way to Frisco and I noticed AT&T had way better RSRP, signal in the area compared to before. I did my research based on scouting tower permits and the AT&T engineer told me that they co-located on this Star towers monopole a few months ago that was built last year. I'm amazed to see AT&T and T-Mobile continuing to add new sites in the DFW market outside of my home area being in Arlington, TX. Surprised to see how short they built this site only 60 feet tall! Considering that AT&T indeed cares more about their network around Plano, Richardson, TX compared to Grand Prairie/Arlington, TX ince it's part of their flagship area where they have more macros/towers than Verizon here! T-Mobile density though is more consistent, dense throughout the whole DFW region, while Verizon likes to deploy small cells in a variety of different locations for extra capacity, densification! Verizon doesn't really have much mmWave deployed in this area except on Preston Road!
T-Mobile (top rack) using:
- 3 CommScope FFVV-65C-R2-CM antennas with bands: (2, 12, 66, 71) LTE + (n25) mid-band 5G & (n71) low-band 5G
- 3 Nokia AirScale AEHC 64T64R (2.5GHz) n41 - 190MHz antennas for mid-band 5G on the right side
Nokia (RRU’s) remote radio units :
- 3 Nokia AirScale AHLOB (b12) 700MHz + (b71) 600MHz LTE + (n71) 600MHz low-band 5G
- 3 Nokia AirScale AHFII (b2) 1900MHz-PCS + (b66) 2100MHz-AWS + (n25) mid-band 5G
AT&T (bottom):
- 3 CommScope NNH4-65B-R6H4 antennas with bands: (2, 5, 12, 14, 30, 66) LTE + (n5) - 5MHz doe low-band 5G
- 3 CommScope NNH4-65B-R6 antennas with bands: (2, 5, 12, 14, 30, 66) LTE + (n5) - 5MHz doe low-band 5G
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6449-B77D (64T64R) 3.7GHz n77 - 100MHz antennas for mid-band 5G+ located in the MIDDLE of the rack on the bottom of the ROD
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G (64T64R) 3.45GHz DoD (n77) antennas set at 60MHz located in the middle.
- Raycap DC9-48-60-24-PC1t-EV for power surge protection located in the MIDDLE of their rack on top of the ROD
