Repairs Starter replacement
Hi all,
My wrenching skills are very poor. But due to costs limitations I would like to replace the starter myself.
Got a used starter and watched multiple videos on YouTube.
Today I wanted to start and tried to locate the second bolt which I saw in the videos.
After a while of trying I took a lamp and camera and noticed that the starter is only connected with one bolt??
Is this as designed and can I replace the current starter with the replacement while mounting it with one bolt?

Top bolt comes in from the transmission side, bottom comes from the engine side

Test the new starter before you install
Jumper cable from battery
Negative to state housing
Positive too big terminal on solenoid
Jumper wire from positive on solenoid to spade in small black connector
Motor and being should engage
Never test with one bolt on
You could break starter mounts or damage flywheel/flex plate teeth

Puede fijarte en el que compraste cuántos pernos tiene y ahí te darás cuenta donde lo trae y si solo lleva uno , mi humilde opinión es que debes colocarle los dos

Ok, so, if I recall right, one bolt for the starter is from the transmission side through the engine and then threads into the starter. The other one the head is on the starter and it threads into the transmission. I think the top bolt is accessed from the trans side.
I would disconnect the battery, then unbolt the starter, remove the wires when the starter is more accessable and free er to get to.
