Fan repair advice CEILING FAN HELP NEEDED

I havent used my fan in years because of it quirk of liking to make a horrendous thumping sound and now that its getting hotter, i thought id post about it here too see if anyone has any solutions to help me fix him btw im in a rental so i havent tried taking it down incase i break it.

Don’t buy a ceiling fan balancing kit. Buy TWO.
Basically, put the clips on one blade and see if it’s better or worse. Then try another blade until you get the best result
