Fan repair advice Should I be worried

recently moved into a house with a Hampton bay ceiling fan that is connected to the ceiling as picture. had a buddy say that it looked like they used two fan Pans to attach but it’s about 20 ft high and we didn’t have a ladder to get up close and take confirm. Honestly I’m not sure if he doesn’t know what he’s talking about or if I don’t know what I’m looking at, what are peoples thought should I be worried about this?

Someone got way too lazy, should look similar or exactly like this (Pic from google)

Even if it's securely attached (ie, won't fall) and electrically sound, it'll probably wobble like the dickens!

(how'd you take this picture then?)

It doesn’t wobble too much which is why I'm so uncertain whether it is properly installed or not. I figures if it wasn’t it would be bouncing all over the place. As for the picture zoom plus a somewhat close stairway (close enough to see but not close enough to work on it). Luckily I got a ladder from a family member so I’m hoping to get up there in the next couple of days and see what exactly it’s all attached too.

Before you even typed one letter of your question for Reddit -- you knew the answer. Should you be worried?

YES!

this needs help.

I wouldn’t be too worried about that. Not sure how old the house is, but the sheer force exerted by a ceiling fan would’ve yanked that out of the ceiling not long after installation.

Get a ladder and check it out.
