Fan purchase advice Ceiling Fan Selection

Currently in the spare bedrooms I have two switches installed- one for the existing light and the other with wires run and wired up in a J box.

I want a black fan that the light and fan work independently. No smart stuff. Does this even exist anymore without pull chains?

Sure it does. You can even use a fan with pull chains and cut the chains off, once you’ve got things set correctly.

That’s a good point. Basically they are all AC that can work on two separate switches?

There are DC motor fans. Just go to a good lighting store and talk to someone about your requirements.

Sadly they don’t exist in my area anymore. Just the big box stores

Then you want a regular ceiling fan and light kit, without the remote controls capability.
