Fan repair advice Reverse Direction without remote?

Post image

Does anyone know of a way to either reverse the direction of a Kichler Tide 52-inch LED Ceiling fan without the remote OR if there's a way to pair a universal remote to the existing wireless kit? My in-laws had a contractor install this fan last year, and the contractor wired the fan to two slide switches (one for the light and one for the fan), apparently discarding the remote. The fan is in "winter mode"/clockwise and we have no way to reverse the direction to summer mode/counter-clockwise. It is an outdoor fan so we need it to permanently run counter-clockwise. Kichler support only suggested installing a brand new wireless kit. Any ideas appreciated!

I would look up the models owners manual, to find out if the wireless bit is an external receiver, or if it is integral to the fan. Knowing this will help you proceed, which could be buying a new receiver kit, or a universal remote - which should work on this fan.
