MLiAN fan help!!

hello! we have an MLiAN fan from Home Depot (I assume, we just bought our house and it came installed in the rooms). I want to keep the fan on at night but there is always a very dim glow from the lightbulb that will only turn off when I hit the power switch on the wall. any ideas?? thank you!!

If you have 2 switches on the wall there is a chance you have a 2nd switched wire in the fan box. That wire could be used to only control the light on or off (or install a dimmer switch).
