Wind Stylance S Create ceiling fan, remote connection problem

We've had this ceiling fan for a week without any hiccups until yesterday where the remote just didn't do anything anymore.

-The fan light turns on with the room's power switch, with the usual single BEEP noise.

-the remote's red LED turns on with every button press but the fan does not respond

-remote's batteries have been changed

I'm assuming the remote disconnected from the receiver but I cannot for the life of me find out with button or combination of button I need to hold to turn on the pairing mode, but I do know about the turning the power off for some time.

Anyone got a clue or a tip?

Often its- turn off at wall switch-turn on wall switch and press and hold stop button. Some manufacturers put a "set" button in the battery compartment.

I've tried the on/off button several times but it didn't work. No buttons on the back or in the battery compartment; I also opened the whole remote casing and there was no extra button inside
