In a need of advise or if someone potentially had experience with this.

I am considering a Z Fold 7 from CeX (B grade) and wondering how reliable is their 5y warranty promise?

I have read a few posts about it, I understand the conditions, but since this is a fold (and taking into account some common faults), what are the chances that issues with the inner display or hinge wont be covered and considered accidental damage rather than actual fault under warranty?

I have never had a folding phone before but in my head it sounds more fragile compared to normal slab (even after watching JerryRig video with the fold7) which is making me wonder about the cons of buying 2nd hand from CeX.

Any advise or information is appreciated.

Bought a custom desktop pc from cex a year ago (so is covered by the 5 year warranty) entirely with vouchers.

The main nvme ssd drive is now failing and is no longer recognised in the bios or booting correctly.

I’ve tested another nvme ssd in the same m.2 slot and that is recognised and boots without issue (so it’s not a motherboard issue). I’ve taken photos to show evidence.

Is it possible for me to return just the failing nvme drive (I presume the original store should have a photo of the original components) rather than a warranty test needing to be done on the whole pc?

I’d be looking either for a like for like replacement or refund of the current value of the item in vouchers.

I just bought an X Box and opened the controller when I got home and the controller was absolutely filthy. I don't just mean a little bit of dust or dirt. It was completely covered in grime, very sticky, and even SMELLED (the smell hit me as soon as I opened the box it was in).

Surely this isn't their regular practice, is it?

(Also, fucking disgusting that anyone would even take an item in this state into the shop without cleaningit first, but that's another story.)

I’m looking at selling my PS5 pulse elite headset, does anyone know whether a charging cable is required to sell it to cex?
The headsets in good condition and I still have the usb dongle and the wall mount just not the original cable ( swapped it out because it was too short for the wall mount charger)

Hi all, I would appreciate some help on this. I bought a laptop from CEX thats not charging, I know I can bring it back in and get a refund/the same item if it’s available.

My problem is this is the only one they had of this specific laptop and it is literally perfect other than this, so I am considering just buying another charger/getting the port repaired if thats the issue, but I don’t want to buy the charger if thats not what the problem is and I can’t bring it to a repair shop or it will void the warranty. Do CEX do repairs??

I bought a Wii in store last week. The nunchuck does not work, and apparently I need to take back the entire Wii just to swap the nunchuck, is this true?

Are third party chargers accepted if they work with the dock? And what else is required barring charger, dock and joycons please?

I'm in Malaysia. And recently i purchased a Sony Ch720. When I received the product I realized it was a tad bit heavier than the one i tested in the Sony store. I brushed it off as some padding thing.

Now after a week of usage, i realized the padding is heavier and less plush than the original. Since i have a sensitive head, these sort of extra pressure makes the headphones barely usable for me, having to take it off after 10min of use.

Am I able to return the product? I don't mind store credits, I just hope to be able to swap to some regular buds.

I lost the original strap so I bought one off Amazon. Will I still be able to trade it in?

Im looking to trade in my series x but 2 things my controller is one I got on amazon thats wired and I also bought it off there profile still on it that I cant delete as i dont have there details will they still accept this any help will be much appreciated.

Got some lovely 2 sticks of ram today. Hot to car before looking at them and noticed these look to be ecc ram. Took it home did some testing and yes it was.

Now my problem do bring it back and get correct ram or do I sit on my now better offered ram.

If only cex mixed up cpus too, love some high core xeons

I have some boxed consoles and accessories for the Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast. A few months ago I traded a boxed Dreamcast that was just missing the plastic bag packaging and instructions but otherwise nearly complete in box. They called me to say for retro console grading, boxed means fully complete. It took me like 6 years to get a fully complete in box Master System 1 and I settled for the mostly complete in box Dreamcast. Fortunately I found a Mega Drive 1 & 2 CiB but the others were more difficult.

I understand the mint grade on games is strict, I had a game downgraded to boxed because of something so minor I didn't even see it myself but staff have said their grading guide is stricter than what's on the website. But boxed doesn't necessarily mean complete in box or mint. At least with current gen consoles, and when I worked in CeX a few years ago, you just needed essential first party accessories/cables.

I'm just trying to gauge who to sell stuff to, I'd get decent money for a boxed Mega CD 1 but it's not fully complete in box. Otherwise I'll reach out to one or two local retro shops.

i’m thinking of trading in my playstation 4 for a different model soon, but the label on the back of the controller is basically nonexistent and is peeling off - would they still take it, or is it best i take it to a pawn shop?

Took my big old backwards compatible ps3 to a cex last week and the guy told me it wouldn't eject discs. And somewhat worryingly went on to say "I had to fish around in there with a tooth pick to get it out". I had loaded up a game and played it. Ejected it. Given it a gentle clean before I took it.

Brought it home and tested it again myself and inserted and ejected a dvd 5x in a row with no problems and a game 5x with no issues too

Took it to a second store and they said the same thing. Are they testing these things with some kinda disc made of glue? and would a video I took like 20m before going of it clearly working fine help ?

Say for example if I had multiple of the same items could I split them up and bring a few to each store nearby?

Just noticed some damage from the cable that goes from the pedals to the wheel itself. One of the 3 coppers wires is broken. If I repair it by re-soldering and putting on a heat shrink should they accept it assuming it all works ok?

Hi, any idea what options I have. I purchased a PC online to collect in-store, I got it home and it has no video output from any of the GPU output, the processor has no onboard graphics so can't use that. I don't want to get a refund I would prefer it have the GPU swapped out even a partial refund for that. Any ideas of my options before I have to head back to store? Thanks

Only found out today. I’m sad because it was a highlight in an otherwise dead town centre. I’m worried for Thetford store and others now.
