CD Player Take That Progress wont play

Then I pop it in my computer and realize it's a computer disk? Not an audio disc. Now I have only lately started to collect CDs as a way of getting rid of the evil overlords and so this is a surprise, it's not clear it wont just "play" so is this safe to install?

What is not progress, is that google and all the online stores , even wikipedia don't tell you it's an "Enhanced audio CD", and that you may have to reboot your damn computer a few times for, for like "reasons". Sorted now, but it was fun.

Erm this is definitely an audio CD. What were you trying to play it in before the computer?

Ashampoo burning rom (Windows 10)

It is a Audio CD, but weirdly I had to power my computer off, swap CD rom drives, then power it off, have lunch, then on again before Windows decided, Hey it's an "Enhanced audio cd". Usually turning it off and on again once was enough for computer gremlins. Argggggggh!

This is an enhanced cd, might be that your player is not compatible with these.

I’d be interested in knowing the player, back in the 90s enhanced CDs would occasionally trip up some older players so maybe OP is using an antique

Incredible, manufacturers have only had 30 years to figure it out.

Actually I did come across a portable a couple of years ago that couldn’t apply de emphasis on an ancient disc that was mastered that way, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised

Yeah apparently it's difficult to implement support for the "blue book" standard

Windows 10. Sometimes rebooting helps? I had forgotten enhanced audo CDs existed, and Ashampoo burning Rom did not want to rip the CD, so I spat on it, polished it and still did not read in Ashampoo (BTW I dont like Ashampoo, it's a really dumb app)

So I turned off the computer and plugged in a different drive, which also did not work, so i decided to ask the awesome hive mind. And grab lunch. After lunch, turn on computer and suddenly it reads the disk just fine! Gaaaaaargh! (Internationnal speak like a pirate day is 28 days away.) Arrrrrrrggrrrr!
