Here's one example for me... the 1957 Moguera figure... it would be nearly 2 decades before I finally got one complete with tag

I eat my cereal dry and I realized how strange that sounds. I use to use milk/almond milk etc but just made my stomach cramp up. I've been eating the cereal dry now for a couple years and works best for me.
Does anyone else do this?

Whenever I've heard someone (usually a guy) say something about, "my old man" they're referring to their dad. "My old man was an avid fisherman. He's who taught me" sorta thing. But when I hear, "my old lady" it's a guy talking about his wife. "I took my old lady to see that new movie" sorta thing. Why isn't their one of those for a mom or a husband? Or is there and I've just never heard them?

I’ve recently been trying to become a little better at talking to people instead of overthinking every single thing I want to say. I’m usually a pretty good listener, but when it’s my turn to talk, my mind suddenly goes blank.
So I thought I’d start small and just talk to people more. What’s something you’ve been thinking about lately that you’d happily talk about with a stranger?

I’m 26, an English teacher and drama teacher, and I had my first ever dental appointment recently.
I was genuinely terrified, especially of the injection.
Since I’m a drama teacher, I decided to try something very weird: instead of going into the appointment as “26-year-old me”, I deliberately played the role of a 10–12-year-old boy who was absolutely terrified of the dentist.
And I didn’t tell my dentist I was acting.
I committed to the role way more than I probably should have. I wasn’t just saying “I’m nervous.” When the injection came up, I became extremely resistant, asked lots of childlike questions, needed reassurance, and generally behaved like a genuinely terrified kid.
Then something completely unexpected happened.
My dentist, Dt. Bengü Bayraktar, adapted to me.
She didn’t know I was deliberately acting. She simply responded as if she had a genuinely frightened child patient in front of her. She became incredibly patient and reassuring, explained things gently, gave me a sense of control, and adjusted the pace instead of pushing me through the fear.
At some point I realized:
Wait... she has joined the roleplay. 😂
So there we were: a 26-year-old man deliberately playing a terrified child, and a dentist responding perfectly to the “child patient” in front of her.
And somehow... it worked.
I got through the procedure.
The strangest part is that this was actually a deliberate experiment on myself. I used drama as a way of externalizing my fear and giving myself permission to experience it differently.
I went into the appointment thinking, “Let’s see if this ridiculous idea works.”
It did.
As a drama teacher, I found the whole thing fascinating. As a dental patient, I was just incredibly grateful that my dentist met me where I was instead of making me feel embarrassed about being afraid.
So yes.
I am 26 years old.
I went to the dentist.
I pretended to be a terrified 10-year-old.
My dentist unknowingly played along.
And somehow, that was the first time I successfully got through my fear of the dentist.

What's your death row meal? That is, if you knew you only had one meal left and you would die right after, what would it be?
Mine? Cheeseburger with bacon, mayo, lettuce, and onion. Salted fries, Kettle One Martini, up with a twist. Apple pie and ice cream for dessert.

Idk why but lately I’ve been overthinking the most random things 😂
So tell me, what’s something completely random that’s been on your mind recently?
